This is what Pope should be telling his players. Take a look in the mirror and let me know if you are happy with what you see. Whichever player(s) response with yes I am happy should start coming off the bench or at least have reduced playing time until he is happy with what he sees.

I don't love how anyone on the team rebounds. At all. And it's on Pope to convince them to care. I don't think they're scared enough of his opinion and that's a problem. He's worked hard to win over UK fans but needs to find a better balance between friend and coach with his own players.

He is definitely afraid to criticize his players even in the slightest bit. Pope’s nice way of coaching is cool when things are going well but when things aren’t going well one has to wonder if he even has the heart to be stern with the players

Between Brea and Jax its a near sprint AWAY from contact when a shot goes up .. Both just kinda simply slide out of the way when contact starts. There is soft , and then these 2 . Yes Brea has been an incredible shooter , but his D is horrific , yes horrible., like nonexistent . Jaxson doesnt equal out his weaknesses with good offense , I'd roll with Brea getting more minutes and Jaxson less .. quite a bit less . Kinda hard till someone else steps up but I dont think we have a person capable . Roster is still a bit thin . But we all expected Robinson to contribute much more . Butler has been a godsend for this team . Love the young man . Plays his heart out .

Rebounding has been an issue from the first exhibition game.

This is just not a good rebounding team. There’s not one bonafide rebounder on the team.

We will never become a good rebounding team. It’s just not in their DNA.

We can get better. And we have to get better.

Pope was a master at position rebounding. If he can’t teach these guys then no one can.
