Heard through a friend that works for the Physical Plant at UK that the new head grounds guy is not pleased at all with the premature setup of tent frames and trailers at Kroger Field.
My friend said he pitched the idea of clearing out to the Athletic Department and they said absolutely not. Evidently, it’s the trailers that have chains around trees that really set him off.
I drove by the stadium yesterday and saw a small sign leading into red lot that stated, “Tailgate setups are only allowed on Friday before the game.”
Just wanted to share this information as an FYI to keep tabs on your gear. I’m sure they would send notice if they were about to do something drastic but I just don’t see UKAD allowing. Would probably go a long way if everyone with a tent set up would maintain their grass.
