Tai Wynyard

Is it really hard to believe a 17 year old who didn't get on campus until December isn't ready to contribute? I'd say things are proceeding exactly as planned with him.

The thing that strikes me as ironic is Tai was sitting at the scorers table ready to check in earlier this year in a game. If only there would have been a clock stoppage before the end of the game, he would have checked in and no longer had time to think about a redshirt. I really hope he at least tries to contribute this year until the guys get healthier.

It's a players first university. If the kid wants to redshirt and I think he clearly does, it shouldn't matter the injuries on a team. He should have to waste a whole year of eligibility because guys are hurt.

Who the hell is "us"? You own this place? You use "us" because you don't have the confidence to speak as an individual? That's my best guess.

And......now back to the OP.

I completely agree that the Tai situation is worthy of some discussion. Maybe its just as simple as there is a plan to have a lengthy developmental period for the kid. That would be nice to have more kids on the Willis trajectory mixed in with the one and done kids. I agree with the OP in that its hard to believe the kid wouldn't have something to offer right now give the current state of the front line. If there was no plan or expectation that he contribute this year, seems like he would have just waited to join the team next year. Will be very interesting to see how Tai is utilized in the next few years whatever the case.

Tough start. Not sure if posting here is going to go real well for you.

I wouldn't be so quick to LOL. Interesting post by Krupp...hadn't thought of that and can't say I agree and certainly hope it doesn't happen but with that said, it's disappointing that so many on this board refuse to engage in a civil conversation about a subject (UKBB) we all enjoy without the name calling (assclown, in this case). You must think we come here to see only what you have to say Cane? I think you may be the assclown. I've read these boards much longer than most on here...I just don't offer my opinions much anymore because it's pointless. So what you have left to read is not interesting commentary on its own merrit but rather mindless attacks rationalized as defending turf. The more thoughtful and engaging UK fans don't post here anymore because of the ignorant attacks by too many here. So to those of you who take joy in the bombast, the rest of the UK fanbase that used to frequent these boards and offered interesting commentary are gone thanks to you and yours. Congrats. A once great board has been reduced to its lowest common denominator inhabited now by some whose origins seem to be the shallow end of the gene pool unfortunately.
Well said! I've had the privilege of being a part of other UK fan sites and this is the first one that makes new posters feel unwelcome until they have 500 plus posts. Come on! I'm an alumni and have been a fan since the Rupp era. Nobody can claim to be a bigger fan than me. Oh BTW, the use of the word "troll" is highly misused on this forum. Just because people have a different opinion doesn't make them a "troll". A little civility would benefit this site greatly. The OP made a point. You can disagree but there's no reason to ridicule.
