Would've liked to seen us send Towles and Boom..those are our two most well-known players (by a long shot) and would've attracted more national media and SEC writers to ask questions about the upcoming season and get a heck of a lot more attention for this football program (which is in dire need of it)

He's taking the Seniors, I applaud him for that. Plus, the skill positions get all the love during the season anyway, why not take the Sr, OL, DL, DB. I think Stamps may garner some attention with the season he had last year.

I agree with taking the Seniors. I also think that it is 3 players that might get drafted. The publicity can do nothing but help their chances. They are also players that Stoops is counting on to give Senior leadership.

Not me. Boom is a soph who has and will get plenty of attention. He is not yet a leader. These three guys are worthy of recognition and have embraced leadership. Lewis has a great story that will speak to recruits. Swindle a hard worker who deserves to have his name mentioned. Stamps is a stud. The surprise to me was no Forrest.

Yea me too. I figured they would take one offense and one defense, Swindell and Forrest. I guess we shouldn't jump to conclusions there may have been reasons for that, perhaps he had a conflict or something.

Perhaps. It appears that Stoops may be taking players he believes should be recognized but he believes have not yet. Toth, Forrest, and Towles are players he could have taken, but they regularly get recognition. The three he tabbed are talented, but not as well know.

Last year he said he was taking the vocal leaders of the team. That's why Swindle went. Same reason this year.

Swindle does a ton of good that fans either rarely notice or do not understand. Focusing on his mistakes, even for jokes, is getting old, IMO. Same with the stupid complaints about one play in the UL game when it comes to McWilson. I hope we mature into a fan base that spends more time praising our good players and less time criticizing.
