swanigan to purdue just broke

I can see it now, Skal picks up his 2nd foul early in the first half and Willis has to play - with Lee and Poythess - sorry, that's not a top-10 front court without another quality big.

My bad bro you're right.. It was Brian Poe and some other nerd with an ungodly post count, that makes himself look like the brain of all boards..

I never said UK, Purdue or Cal or any school, but I will say it again, just because you played D1 ball at pitiful MTSU in the 80's doesn't mean you know more about a recruit than anyone else.

Get your poster feuds straight.

At least we both use our real names, honey...

Please list the 10 teams with 4 better players at the 4/5 postions? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I sure can't think of many. Maybe UNC, but that's all I have.

Just to clarify my view, I don't think UK will get Murray, but I'm overall positive about the team, and recruiting in years to come. You can't head into spring recruiting with the best center and, arguably, the best point guard then be surprised when other centers and point guards reluctantly go elsewhere. The three misses as far as I'm concerned were Newman, Igraham and Brown. Newman just wanted to be a PG at all costs. Ingraham was set on playing in North Carolina. Brown seemed genuinely intimidated by Kentucky And The Big Time. That's the way it goes. All the others that people are claiming UK missed on were guys who understood they were going to get stuck behind Ulis, Briscoe and Skal.

I was referring to recruiting as well.

But I don't think we win the title with our current roster either. Hope like hell I'm wrong.

Its ok, I just knew more than you on this one.. I'm sure you'll get me at some point though.. Gotta love you Internet hard ankles..

#1, you have me confused. I never said where the kid was going.

You said you played D1 at MTSU so you know more than everyone else. Your words. I challenged that phrase.

As to Internet hard ankles, this is my real name, you keep hiding behind that childish screen name of yours.

May be true, but that's an argument I'll never understand.

With the way basketball is played today, there are all kinds of "point forwards" and "shooting forwards" running around in the NBA and college level. There are multiple ball handlers and playmakers on the court regardless of position. LeBron is the obvious example, but look at a guy like Josh Smith this playoffs. Even Harden is getting some shine as an assist playmaker and that's never been his strong suit. A guy like Darius Miller under Cal was a point forward. Lamb, a 2 guard, would often serve as a primary ball handler in a pinch. So Murray will have his opportunities to shine as an assist maker and show pro scouts what he can do even if we play him at the 3.

I see your point Brando, but those other positions showcase a skill of handling the ball at their true position. PG is point guard, I could see it being a factor. But we have made it work before, and other teams have as well.

Roosevelt Barnes. Three sport athlete (Basketball, Football, Baseball) at Purdue in the 80's. Played in the NFL for Detroit 5 years or so. Currently is a sports agent working with Eugene Parker. Adopting Caleb (while in middle school) was a godsend for the kid and provided needed structure and support. Roosevelt does not need anything from anyone. This was a business decision based on playing position and team around him. Purdue is a great fit for Caleb Swanigan. He will thrive as a Boilermaker.

Hmmm. Nope. It would be Poythress and Lee with 3 guards until Skal comes back in.

Don't lie... You were praying..

No one has thrived as a Boilermaker since Glen Robinson 20 years ago...

I don't know about all of you but I didn't care if he came here. He was just trying to play UK to get some interest and I knew that from the beginning.

Matt Jones and Drew Franklin were saying that Purdue is a dreary place. Matt said that Duke, where he went to Law School, is much nicer and Trancy, where he did his undergraduate work was nicer too. I don't get it.

Last hope! It sounds so dire. Cal should try this on him, it worked the last time: "We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of earth. Jamal Murray, sign this LOI!"

(Bonus points for first history major who identifies the original.)

Why would Lee and Poythress be in the game with Skal? I'd say our best lineup is most definitely with three guards, which means we already have one of Lee or Poythress coming off the bench.

Well that's one we don't have to worry about anymore, until he decommits again:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:, moving on.
