For those that might be too dense to understand why I asked the question-
Consistency is the enemy of bias. Bias is not a level playing field. If it wasn't a penalty when KC did it, it's not a penalty when Philly did it. If they didn't call it all game, but call it in the last 2 minutes and only called it against one team, that's bias.
The referees are supposed to be part of the field, not impediments or obstacles to it. If an official jumped up and swatted a ball down on a given play, then simpletons would realize the role that bias shouldn't play in sports officiating. It's no different if they eat their whistle all game and then decide to call it in a pivotal moment.
The truth is that it's not illegal for the leagues to rig outcomes. We talked about this at lunch also. They are technically "entertainment" businesses and not actually "sports" which makes a big difference in how they can operate. I don't expect them to be fairly officiated and haven't for some time. I will call it out, however, because a LOT OF PEOPLE don't realize how things have changed.
Exactly this ^
Funny thing is if this was UK vs UGA and same situation, there’d be 100 page thread calling for an officials head, emails to MB, SEC, etc.
Just never realized there were so many PM fanboys within the UK community.
