I'm currently writing this from BGA. I'm going to be out and about so expect sporadic or a lack of mashups soon. Sorry for any of you who read them religiously.

>I don't know why I still give SDS a read. UK, regardless of besting several SEC foes last year and being on an obvious upswing, still ranks in the bottom two in a lot of things SDS posts. I don't know why anyone would give them a read. Outside of their hard-ons for Bama, Georgia, Auburn, and Spurrier, I don't know if they even watch games not including one of those teams.

>Several CWS field concepts were played around with on Twitter. Go check them out if you get a chance. @_KeithGarrett made some nice renderings.

>Big fan of our Wideouts next year. I think they can really give our offense the edge in going from good to great.

>Same with our linemen. More experience and talent being infused into the 2-deep will only help our performance. I think Schlaman has been doing well with what he has had and it's going to pay off when we hit the field next fall.

>Finals week is over. Time for summer camps and Towles and Barker to work on the minute facets of their games. I fully expect our QB's to be the two most improved players on the team next fall, and Towles will be the bread-winner.

>Speaking of QB, I don't worry about depth at the position since we will likely get Reese back soon enough. I'd like to see what his accurate arm can accomplish in Dawson's scheme. I feel like Brown knows good QB's and the thing that sticks in my mind is how Brown said he'd eventually be a great SEC QB... Hope he's right.

That's all I have right now. Flight is about to board. I will make additions later if possible.

Question: Which positional group will still need the most work done to perform moderately well this season? My money is on CB. What say you, board?

Happy Sunday! Go Big Blue!

agree on CB, but LB needs a lot of improvement too as does OL which could not open holes well against SEC competition last year. All will have significant depth improvement, but will that translate into starters being more effective.

Linebacker. Still going to get ran over. Courtney Love will help with this if eligible.

Happy Sunday! Go Big Blue!

I say DE, LB, and CB are spots needing the most work. We don't have much SEC talent in those spots and it could hurt us again defensively this season.

I agree Towles wins the starter and totally agree that our receivers are very good. I really think our offense can improve a lot more than our defense this season. We are just more talented on O. I think we are still two years away from having a decent SEC defense.

As to which group needs to perform well for UK to move forward you could rightly say all of them but to narrow it down more my money's on the OL. Certainly CB is problematic, UK cannot and must not roll out the same group that's been manhandled the last 2 years. Major upgrades are needed.

But if we want to have an O that wins SEC games the OL needs to man up. And they came out of the spring with hints that at least one position, RT, is very unsettled. False Start Swindle has taken his act to LT. The middle of the line with West, Toth and R Myers appear to be adequate to good. But nobody has grabbed the vacant RT job. Meadows, Haynes and Krok got a shot but none stood out. Should be noted Krok has had injury problems. So they gave 2 natural OGs, Mosier and GA-A, a shot and appeared to be somewhat pleased. However, if you move guys from their more natural inside positions to outside you run the risk weakening 2 positions. The good news here perhaps is they're so satisfied with West/R Myers that a move of Mosier/GA-A won't hurt them. Or they could be getting desperate. Time will tell.

Hopefully a strong summer workout allows Meadows, Haynes or a healthy Krok the opportunity to step up. UK really needs major improvement from this group.

Could someone post some of the concepts people are putting on twitter as to their ideas of what the field should look like? I don't have twitter but would like to see them.
