UCLA, UNC***, Kansas, UConn, UNC***, Louisville. OUT !
Indiana didn't even make it to the tournament this year.
All before we even get to finish playing our little game. Not that anyone has picked the Cats' to do much.
Glad to see the SEC not collectively falling flat, but still concerned the top end won't deliver. This year, we should have an all SEC Final Four - if you were ever going to have it, if you ask me. Then this would have been the year. If not Kentucky, insert Tennessee there, and you got all four of them in all four different regions. All of them 1 or 2 seeds advancing to the Final Four.
It would be crazy. It won't happen, but the SEC was stout this year. Big Ten has been quietly good as well.
Even if you didn't know ANYTHING about it, going by seeds, it wouldn't be far to think all 4 final four teams would make it form the SEC. The league was that top heavy in the most competitive and balanced conference in the history of college basketball this year. This would and should be the year to have an all SEC Final Four, odds wise.
But it's great to have had at least this far to really pull for our Cats. win or lose, it's been a successful transition season. I don't think we're quite done yet for this year.
Go Big Blue !
