Stop letting Timmons return punts!!!!

Walker is a very talented, dependable receiver, with great hands. He will continue to play more as the season progresses! Must have forgotten his fourth down catch in the first game !

He has competition now and it's probably in his head. He's pushing to make plays and not executing.
Sometimes it's better to watch from the sidelines for a while and see the game from a different view.
I think that he's be fine. King has confidence now and I'd expect more each week from him.

On top of all the problems already mentioned, Timmons dances way too much when he actually gets a chance to return the ball. Needs to make a cut or two and turn up field, not hop around like he tends to do.

Timmons has fallen apart-he is regressing big time

He has been passed by some very talented kids on the wr unit.

Time to be passed on PR too.

This. He hasnt regressed. The talent, especially at WR, is just at unprecedented levels for UK. On most other squads, hed be the far and away #1 option, like he was as a TF. Its a growing pain of building a program, but its a good problem to have.

Say what you want about Timmons, but he is the most elusive player we have in the open field. Problem is, it's hard to get him in space. He definitely still lacks ball skills.

True and false. He is elusive. But he goes almost exclusively east and west. Not what you need, especially out of a punt returner.

Special teams has been much better than last year imo. King has been really good on kickoffs and our special teams defense has been pretty solid. And we've had no turnovers on ST so there is that.

We actually have several coaches for special teams, it's not like they are coaching themselves. You think having Buh and Manoird has been worth not having a dedicated ST coach? I certainly do.

Exactly. We're much improved on ST and have a better staff all around. Its working great so far.

When a team is punting from around the 50 yard line, I would put nobody back there. No way you should fair catch a ball on the 2. Nobody has mentioned the terrible reps he had from the tailback position, tripped over his feet on one play, another he ran 27 yards to gain 2 yards.

I think he's in his own head now. There's no denying he's talented, but I think the drops he had last year messed with him mentally. Also, Charles Walker must be a practice All-American to continue getting playing time over scholarship players.

I agree with you, I think Timmons confidence level is at 0. Though he had some drops last year, he also caught 54 balls. On the Walker thing, a lot of invited walk on in football can play. JD Harmon started as a walk on, I think he has earned a scholarship now. Many walk ons everywhere can play football. Yeramiah Bell with Eastern was a walk on who played a decade in the NFL

I'm not doubting his ability to play, just surprising that he is still playing over scholarship guys like Timmons, Montgomery, TV Williams, etc.

Put Boom back there...win win...he gets to play more and we may get a return longer than 5 yards
