Stoops has been a good coach for UK's standards but let's be honest, the SEC East has not been that good the last several years and we've taken advantage, which is great. But Georgia will remain a powerhouse under Kirby. Will UT remain a top 10 program after Hooker graduates? UF won't be down forever. Hope we can maintain our current standing, especially if Mizzou and USCe keep making bad hires.

I'm very happy with our results the past several years but I'm just thankful we don't play in the SEC West or we would finish near the bottom every year. Stoops is now 0-10 against the SEC West on the road. And half of those losses are to MSU, which usually finishes in the bottom half of the West. I'm confident we could've beaten Arkansas a couple of times while they were down but they're a good program again. Who from the West would we beat on the road with any consistency?

He’s 5-2 at home vs the SEC West since 2016 (first year he made a bowl game). His losses on the road during that time are:

#2 Alabama
#19 Mississippi State
#16 Texas A&M
UR Mississippi State
UR Auburn
#1 Alabama
UR Mississippi State
#14 Ole Miss

To your point though…we have absolutely taken advantage of UT and UF being down. I don’t think our SEC record would be as good as it is overall, but I would argue the SEC West has been down the past few years too so it’s hard to tell.
