Since 2018, Kentucky is 10-15 in regular season games against ranked opponents. They tend to outperform in these games—they're 17-7-1 against the spread.
But those good results have been mainly because of great performance against ranks 11-25. In those games, Kentucky is 7-2 straight up, 8-1 against the spread. Cats only had two previous wins against a top-10 team (Florida in 2021, at Louisville in 2023). So this is by far the biggest regular season win since 2018, probably the second-biggest of the Stoops era (at Louisville in 2016 is #1).
* edited to reflect Louisville was top-10 when the teams played in 2023.
