Some Stoops notes:
UK is 28-20 in "close" games (decided by 10 pts or less) under CMS
Wins over Vandy (4x), S Car (5x), ULL, Mizzou (4x), EKU, MSU, UL, USM, EMU, UT, PSU, Ark, VaTech, NC St, UT-Chatt, Fla (2x) and Iowa
24-15 in games decided by 7 pts or less
31-8 in non SEC games, including 17 STRAIGHT!
Many years ago, we discussed who UK had to consistently beat to step up to "middle tier" and Stoops has done that.
7 of last 8 against USCe
6 of last 7 against Mizzou
6 in a row against Vandy
To reach the "top tier", UK needs to beat MSU (annual cross Division) UF, UT and UGa
2 in a row over Florida, with 3 of the last 5 and 2 of the last 3 in Gainesville
3 of last 6 with Miss St
2 of last 5 with Tennessee
Still a ways to go, but the difference in the program between preStoops and now is clear.
