If I see one more face mask where the referee say they didn't see it......!!!
There's probably at least five of them every damn game where the referee just doesn't see it.
Like if you look up and the replay video shows the damn face mask... penalty should be called.
The NFL game last night that was some boooooshitttt! Absolute facemask with 3 referees conveniently not looking but video shows they were!
Glad the vikings lost anyway though.
What do yall think? Use replay for enforcement of facemask penalty?

The one ref was looking right at it. The dude with the big hooked nose. He was laughing about it to the Minnesota coach when he pointed it out on the big screen replay.

These refs have zero accountability. Easy gambling targets, especially college refs.

I think that the coach should be able to challenge a missed call. Everything is on film somewhere, the officials can really control the game without repercussions, they are supposedly graded, but I have a feeling it’s on a curve.

The amount of facemasks missed this season is nothing short of staggering. Some of them missed vs qbs, which is crazy because they are definitely looking for contact to the head but somehow miss their head being torn off.

I don't know any other option except to get better refs, which wont happen.

Yeah lets add 2 or 3 more endless reviews each game, then maybe they will take 41\2 hours to play a game instead of 4. Also football was never meant to be perfect. Missed, and bad calls have been part of the game for 100 years. Then control freak Millenials maps came along,as well as a huge up tick in gambling on the games. I hate reviews, just hate em

Please no more breaks and commercials. There's a facemask on every play somewhere.

How about redesigning the helmets to not be able to grab the facemask? I know some players wear helmets with the clear shield in front of their eyes. I'd imagine that would stop a lot of it. The bottom half they could put the facemask horizontal sections closer together with more of them. You wouldn't even need to have all players wear them. Pretty much only need the offensive skill position players to wear them.

I think illegal procedure penalties should be reduced to 3 yards. Too big to overcome for a very minor infraction.

I agree with that. I believe the holding penalty should be reduced to three yards while we are at it.
1st and 20 is a mofo

You make a damn good point there

You must be to young to know when it was still a spot foul in the backfield in college football. You think 1st and 20 is bad, try first and 28l

Since in college football all plays are reviewed you would eventually get to the point where officiating was done by replay. I mean if they start making face mask a penalty called by the replay official then what about a horse collar tackle? or a chop block or the most controversial of all DPI? Many of these no-calls are quite obvious. IMO if every penalty that was committed was enforced, the games would be at least an extra hour long. In the end regardless of what many fans think, the calls and missed calls usually even out over the course of the game. Some times you get, sometimes you give.
