Stoops situation not tenable

Mark Stoops cannot turn this program around and he knows it. Players are not going to come to a broken culture and play losing football that doesnt develop their potential for the pros when they can make comparable amounts and play for a cogent coaching staff elsewhere.

He is a walking dead man and he knows it. I can't blame him for not retiring and signaling he won't step down and take a negotiated buyout. This all lays on Mitch Barnhardt. This is a 44 million dollar mistake on his part and he deserves to be fired over the nonsensical contract buyout he gave mark stoops. By some miracle Arkansas saved his ass with cal. No one will offer a big contract to Stoops, no way.

UK is going to be forced to bite the bullet on this because Stoops has CHECKED OUT and GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS.

See how bad it gets next year and empty stadium with damage to the brand. UK will at some point have no choice but to pay the buyout which will still be insane. Best step is to figure it out now or tell Stoops to kick rocks and lawyer up.

This. His tenure is over. UK has to rip the band aid. Pushing it a year just prolongs the pain. It will have to happen. Barnhard should be fired and sued himself for mismanagement of state funds.

There is alot of fodder to go after stoops with, tieing it up in court will force him to negotiate. He is ruining his legacy by not stepping down and can take his butt back to Youngstown for all I'm concerned

On one of the post-game shows, Roush, Luckett, Drew Franklin all agreed that next year is going to be worse than this year because of the large roster turnover. That just about everything will need to be fixed. But how do you eat another season trying to rebuild when people feel the way they do about Stoops. It's hard to imagine things not getting very toxic.

Barnharts contract runs through the 2025-26 school year. I believe that I read or heard that he plans to retire after that. I can't imagine he would want to retire with the football program in shambles. So hopefully he DOES grow a pair and works a buyout deal with Stoopid.
