Hello again HOB. I'll be sharing the major talking points from the CMS Show tonight for those of you who aren't able to listen along with the program live. Show starts at 6 ET....

* Giving up a long TD drive to start the game/season is kind of a bummer, Stoops said, but he really liked the fact that they only gave up 2 FGs on the next 10 possessions.

* Strange game, offensively, with only 9 possessions. Scored on six of them, but didn't feel like they played their best. Had a two-play drive for a TD and a 14-play drive for no points.

* RB JuTahn McClain is "week to week" right now with his injury. RB Ramon Jefferson remains out "indefinitely." First time I've heard this name mentioned in a while, but we may see Michael Drennon in the mix this week.

* Stoops jokes that he listened to everyone complain about not throwing the ball enough for 9 years, now everybody's complaining that the aren't running the ball.

* More on OL David Wohlabaugh... He's probably just more natural at RT, Stoops says.

* Caller asks about Horsey moving out to LT... Plan was to keep him at guard, but he's a guy they really need to help them through this situation while the other guys gain experience. "We'll get it ironed out."

* The skepticism about WRs after losing Wan'Dale Robinson was justified, Stoops said, but he hopes these young WRs (and a guy like Magwood) showed everyone last week that the room is as good as they've said all summer. It's not hype.

* Snap wasn't good, timing got thrown off, and Upshaw didn't run the best route on the INT down in the red zone. Could have been an easy TD, Stoops said.

* Tight ends have to be more physical at the point of attack, Stoops said, which factors into the running game.

* Nickelback Alex Afari could be a really important player in defending a guy like Florida QB Anthony Richardson and his ability to take a broken play and make something out of it. Afari has the size, length, and speed to help in that regard.

* OLB Keaton Wade has a really good feel for the game. Plays well in space for such a big man, Stoops said.

* Stoops said he meant to talk about transfer S Zion Childress a little more today. Said he impressed him with his physicality on Saturday. Played well, graded out well. Another guy to be excited about.

* Stoops says Saturday was the second-highest yards gained +/- versus that of the opponent in special teams since he's been here.

* Caller asks how Vito Tisdale is doing. Stoops said he was glad that he asked. His rehab is going great. Feels great, getting stronger. Getting a chance to work on some upper-body stuff in the meantime. His head is in a great place. Stoops says he loves Vito. (EDITOR'S NOTE: Nobody was more active on the sidelines in cheering on his teammates and pointing stuff out than Vito. Really caught my eye.)

* Stoops said he had his video staff pull some stuff from the crazy UNC-AppyState finish to help point out some things that could possibly pop up during the season that you don't always had a chance to drill. Noted to the guys if they're in the situation with the lead and getting the kickoff and the other team can't do anything about it, you can win the game just by going down.
