Stoops should name Towles the starter now

Phillips.

Read an article where it said Phillips would likely be ready by mid August. Not sure how much help he will be early because of the lost time on the field. And on the other topic of Towles, if the rest of the offense, oline, receivers, and running backs, have improved as we hoped, it will be easy to see if Towles is the weak link or not as some has suggested.

I don't think it is one bit important that Stoops tell US who the starting QB will be! He can wait til game time if he wants, doesn't matter one iota!

Towles is already the starter, IMO if he loses the job to a RS Freshman then we are in serious trouble. Continuity at the QB spot would be great, and Barker will see his day.

Once you forget about Towles' potential and look at his performance you wonder if his potential is over rated or his production is under appreciated.

Right now what can be said is he probably will be the starting qb for UK this coming season. Be nice if his performance would dependably mesh with his much hyped physical attributes.

Same goes for Barker.

Until Stoops can put a better team around the QB on the field it may be hard for either to be accomplished. Not all the bad play around a QB is his fault but it can affect how successful he can be.
