Stoops saying no offensive coaching staff changes?!?!?!

This is what he wants, he wants the game to be a fist fight big ten style

Thing about firing Scan is it makes it harder to hire a new NFL position coach. They see the last one went down to college, didn’t have quick enough success with a bunch of 20 year olds, and got canned. The risk with hiring OC from NFL staffs was always the amount of turnover. It looks that’ll sink this OC strategy in my eyes

On his radio post game show Stoops clarified about posdible changes stating there would be no coaching changes during the season. He said he would look at everything after the season was over including first evaluating himself. Changing assistant coaches now would not help and set a bad precedent for future good assistants to want to come to UK.

We don't need to be hiring NFL guys. NFL guys won't stick in college. They always want to go back to the NFL as soon as possible. Find someone who runs a really nice college offense and hire them instead.

He just clarified on the post game that there will be no changes MIDSEASON. Big difference.
I didn't hear his comments but, I wouldn't blame him for that comment. How much coaching turnover can a program survive and progress with any consistency? Whose fault is it that we find ourselves in this condition? Someone had better start looking at Stoops and/or Barnhart.

Then, it looks like UK needs to reevaluate Stoops at the end of the season. You have an NFL caliber qb, an NFL style running back and the easiest schedule in awhile and you cannot beat Vanderbilt. This team looked unprepared and undisciplined in making highly costly penalties that affected the outcome of the game - ie face mask. After ten years, the same mistakes - lack of adjustments, poor assistant coaching, lack of effort/preparation - are still evident.

Losing to Vanderbilt is unacceptable and I am very concerned for the future of the fb program.

Well then, he can pack his bags and GTFO too!
Justin Rowland posted that he once asked Mark Stoops after the last game of the season if Shannon Dawsons job was in jeopardy and Stoops said “ No” , but he fired him shortly afterwards.

We are back to the Eddie Gran days as far as offensive production. Last year was fools gold. Stoops is who he is and we will always mirror Iowa when it comes to having a defense first, second, and third focused team.

Well, we sucked on defense today too. We sucked even worse on defense just two weeks ago at UT. Offense and ST's may be the worst in P5 so we need the defense to be all-world. They are not.

The crazy thing is coming into the season we thought we'd take a step back defensively. But our offense we going to be better so we should have been fine. Between the OL, Levis' regression, and our play calling, I feel like we have Shannon Dawson calling the plays with a broken Drew Barker slinging the ball.

One thing that annoys me about his losing press conferences is him always accepting blame in a useless way that means no changes will happen. It's as bad as always blaming someone else for the losses because it's just as meaningless.
We don't need an NFL OC or an NFL offense.

It is past time for Stoops to get our offense in the 21st century and find someone who can coach a spread offense.

Who thought we'd take a step back defensively? We returned a lot of guys on that side of the ball. The talk was the defense had a chance to be special. Offense was the question mark.

Losing Geiger, Jones, Tisdale, and Square to injury took that "special " defense off the field.

Not even Bama could lose 4 of 11 starters and be as good as they were with them on the field.

And we ain't Bama.

When it's an obvious passing down I can't recall an OL that's given up more sacks. I mean it's the craziest thing I've seen in UK sports. So many times we let the defender come free and nail Levis and the few times we actually get in front of someone the OL gets pushed back into him. Burton is one one of the worst I've seen in picking up the blitz. So many times he will double the guy that Cox is on and a defender shoots the gap scot free where he is supposed to be and nails Levis. It's happened all year. I just don't understand what we're doing.
