I'm not one to quickly label someone a snowflake, but having grown up in the country, I'll tell you that if someone straps a dead gator to a bumper and drives down I-95 with it so displayed, chances are there's no issue and we don't need to alert ASPCA and the local news. Get over it. A quick check online confirms... it's gator season!

I think it's pretty fair to say seeing a gator on the back of an SUV like that is shocking. Even in swamps, that's just not something you see.

Imagine, if you would, seeing a warm beer in my hand. That's shocking. Same here.
