He doesn't suck, he's a good fundamental coach. He is not a big time coach, but he might win 10 games every few years. Which is why he will be coach here for as long as he wants. And most uk fans that lived through the dark ages of uk football are ok with this
He can't beat great teams, talent gulf too wide. But does beat some good teams - and loses to them.
Stoops is being paid $9 million/year. That is top 10 in the country. No excuse for this type of performance.

I thought we had a chance tonight, slim, but a chance. I think UGA came out for blood and to make a statement but UK definitely didn’t help themselves. I know there is a talent gap but maybe I had drank to much koolaid because I honestly believed we were closer in talent than ever before but tonight certainly didn’t reflect that. UGA is definitely in a different class than UK there’s no arguing that. We have no business discussing playoffs and SEC titles until we learn to perform when traveling and close that gap significantly if this is the best we can do in the big boy games.
If you constantly look for your leader atQB in the transfer portal, you will fail. Stoops failure begins and ends at QB.
When they get a true QB that is homegrown and can throw a decent pass.
I would settle for looking decent against a top team. We haven’t belonged on the same field at anytime tonight.

I don’t mind him at times, but he starts the dumbest threads a lot of the time that almost always get proven wrong then he goes ghost for the rest is week and starts again. I’m sure against Tennessee there will a crazy thread
he’s gearing up for the classic mid season stoops slide that’s for damn sure.
Stoops never has been that good of a coach average coach at best but this is Ky we have Stoops and Cal also just an average coach.

I was as pi$$ed as could be at how we played last night, not the loss. We deserved to be hammered by that play. Part of it was talent - QB & DBs being the most obvious - but much was attitude and execution
But, Stoops does an overall very good job with the lesser - than the powers - but much improved quality talent he's able to get. I'd hoped he'd be able to take us to the promised land, but a winning record appears to be the ongoing limit. I doubt anyone could do better & I'm certainly not willing to risk another coach disaster. Net, I've reconciled my hopes to the improved level we have & look for the best outcomes. That won't stop me from being POed at poor performances.
