Stone Saunders commits to Kentucky

Lol.

Being an OC at Kentucky is Coen’s dream job. Gotcha. No way does he want anything more.
Hmmmm.

An unusually biting thought from a Kentucky fan, regarding coaching at Kentucky.

You express fear of Coen bolting with a prized recruit, but should he leave, college ball will unlikely be the lure.

I express confidence in his situation here for at least a few years.

Let’s see how that plays out!!

Getting a star qb to start building a class a good 6 months before it usually begins (jan-feb) is so awesome. Hopefully Stone will be a home games frequently this fall helping to recruit 25 & 26 kids.

And give us a break with the Coen gloom & doom. Hasn't even coached a game this second tour of duty! Look, the facts are pretty simple. His 1 yr at UK in 2021 he established himself as a top CFB playcaller. If he wanted to job shop last December, he could have gotten a job at a "bigger" program, i have zero doubt.

So I take Liam at his word, he & his wife decided Lexington is a great place to raise little kids. And he enjoys coaching and teaching college kids, building relationships. Unlike before he intends to stick around several yrs.

It’s not a dig at being an UK OC,. You could insert any college team and the point would be the same. Which is ….Coen is a hot coaching commodity and all coaches aspire to be head coaches. At least most do. And if Coen is here 4 years from now, you can bet he has turned down several jobs along the way.

I hope he’s here for a decade…lm just being realistic about the situation. You can put stock in what he’s saying to the media at the moment. as if he could say otherwise, “ I’m just here until the best job comes along, you know my wife and young child would appreciate me making 5 times more than I’m making now.” Lol. Could you imagine. But that’s the truth of the matter. No? How long was he here previous? What was he telling fans and recruits then? You can’t turn down the Rams, they said. Well, he didn’t. And it might be different this time, insert all the reasons you want to believe why it will be. I hope you’re right. Coen is the best OC we’ve probably had at UK…ever. It’d be nice to keep him around.

I don’t think Elam will be a 4-star. Not that he doesn’t have the talent, just not the exposure to this point. Baseball is definitely his best sport but he is a very solid QB too. Really impressive kid. The kind of kid you want in your program no matter what. Hard worker. Cards got a good one but I hope Mingione doesn’t stop recruiting him. Come play in the SEC dude… no other league comes close.
Especially w conference realignment and the Cards likely being left out and returning to their rightful midmajor place

I mean, I don’t like what he is saying but it’s true. Coen could leave next year, technically. All you can go by is his word and I’ll take him at that.

Yeah. It is what it is. I didn’t intend to be a negative Nancy. I’m just a “ expect the worst and hope for the best “ type person I guess. I truly hope Coen is here for a decade.
