Man of course we don’t have to have any 1 player. But Stokes would be a star day one. I hope there’s nobody saying well he don’t shoot the three good… he does everything else amazing and can get anywhere he wants on the floor. Maybe a bad take but his game reminds me of LeBron. Minus the flopping.
I personally think letting recruits wear the uniform before a commitment is silly. It's like having an adult version of magic tea cup party.

These recruits aren’t nearly as important as they once were due to the transfer portal. That said, he’s the number one pick in 2027. And I would welcome him with open arms 
The thing that pisses me off about him flopping (it's not even close to the amount of times he blindside tackled with no call in the beginning) is that when he was skinny he would through and around contract, never complained at missed calls. He gained weight and was around 270 then starting flopping when he was a literal tank of a human being
A Kentucky native in a Kentucky uniform, just like Winston Bennett, Rex Chapman, Reed Sheppard, ect... Stokes in a UK uniform it just looks right.
It's visualization. Same reason you get the keys tossed to you at a car dealership. Drive it. Imagine yourself in it.
Put a recruit in the jersey and let him imagine himself walking into Rupp and 24k people screaming your name.
