Stewart Mandel says 10-2 for the Cards

And, if so, I think it will be the story of the weekend.
like so many UK fans you are vastly, VASTLY overstating UL's importance and relevance on a national level.

If Auburn does as most everyone expects, rolls to a 2 TD+ win there isnt gonna be any nationwide shock & awe. That result will be more "ho hum, just as we expected". For gods sake UL is mostly unranked, lost 10 guys to the NFL draft along with other lettermen who's eligibility were up, and 6 days from kickoff have no idea which of the 4 mediocre options they are gonna run out to take the 1st series of snaps at QB.

Muschamp is so intimidated by Petrino's hidden QB tricks that he will be playing 8+ true freshmen defenders [eyeroll]

Don't be fooled. Bobby knows who he is playing at QB. He just doesn't want give that info up to Auburn. That way, they have to prepare for both QB's cutting into their game prep time. Smart if you ask me.

Yeah, because they've only had a week to prepare for UL yet Petrino has had all summer....amiright? I'm sure Bonnafon will be the QB because your oline will have the QB running for their life this season.

A solid UGA took it to UL when UL had much more talent than this year's team.Auburn is going to cram it down their throat.

I love idiot fanbases across the country who think their coach is smart not naming who the starting QB is until gametime of the 1st game. Brutal reality is your coach hasnt named a starter because noone you've got has been good enough to rise up and win the job. no fantastic edge is gained by this nonsense from Petrino or Saban or Meyer.

Malzahn, Muschamp, and Johnson.

Remember when A&M started the season last year and all of a sudden r their QB, Johnny Football's replacement, Kenny Hill, was elevated immediately to Heisman status? Johnson looks like a future star, but is he? We have seen "Heisman" caliber QBs at Notre Dame and OU get passed by. Is Johnson the real deal or just the latest overhyped QB?

No one knows.

If UL had an elite level QB, I would think we would know the starter by now.

Johnson is the real deal. Kenny Hill was a surprise to everyone. Everyone around the program knows Johnson is for real. My wife is an Auburn vet grad and I have several friends close to the program. If Johnson is a bust I will be extremely surprised. If he is just mediocre I will be surprised.

My prediction:

Auburn - L
Houston - W
Clemson - L
Samford - W
@ NC State - L
@FSU - L
BC - W
@ WF - W
Syracuse - W
Virginia - W
@ Pitt - W
UK - L

UL ends up 7-5, with a shot at 8-4 if they beat Clemson. UL would have to have EVERYTHING go right to get to 10-2 this year. They have a better chance at going 6-6 than 10-2.

I'm more interested in how all those transfers are gonna pan out for em. They always seem to land some talented transfers.

You sound almost serious with what you said... if you are serious than

No excuse for losing to UL this season. We MUST beat UL this season and the rest of Stoops' tenure. I don't see us losing to UL for the next 5 years at least. We are the better team now. Our offense will cause them fits this season's game.

They are very long and athletic, but I don't see 10-2. Their offensive line is suspect, especially in run blocking. I think Auburn will eat them up on D and not sure they will have it together before Clemson visits

You don't lose a devonte parker and then just reload

It will be interesting to see if they jell together, or if a couple of early losses turns the screws

I do expect them to be competitive by the time they visit commonwealth, and that just what we should be wiaitng for with better bowl implications riding on that game
