The fast break put back dunk Thiero had, I thought he was going to lose his mind. Immediately started yelling that Oscar walked and then said Thiero’s dunk was goal tending because he “he held onto the rim with the other hand”?!?!?!?

I always listen to Tom and Goose. CBS announcers are even worse than ESPN. And ESPN is horrible.
Thought the announcers showed a definite bias. Glad to see others felt the same way, thought it was just me at the time.

I couldn’t care less about announcer bias as long as they’re doing a quality job overall. Lapas and the other guy today were just awful even without the obvious anti-UK commentary. Give me Eagle/Rafferty, Shulman/Bilas, and Hart/Dykes all day. Clark Kellog is good for CBS too.

In over 20 years of posting on several iterations of this board, I don't recall ever posting a strong opinion about an announcer of a particular game. Until today. The level of lopsided bias was staggering. Dude literally kept bringing up the fact he felt Oscar should've been tossed. Then unsolicited disputed several other calls that went UK's way.
It was so bad it was just bizarre. We could've turned to Arkansas' radio station and undoubtedly heard a more neutral call of the game.

Yeah, I'd say he learned to hate UK when he coached at Villanova in the 90s when Rick Pitino had the Cats dominating. And then he may have learned to hate Calipari when he coached at UMass in the early 2000s and it was on the heels of the UMass final four under Cal being vacated.
It was pretty clear he was biased against UK for whatever reason. He was likely hoping to see a beatdown of UK today- glad he got disappointed. 🤣

I am sure I have heard him plenty before but I never paid much attention to him. He was against ever call Ky got and he and even the other guy actually got excited when ARK had their 1 run. They showed that ordinary dunk by Powder 5 times from different angles while they creamed themselves.😂
