We were in a game that I did not think we played well in overall. Carr with his back was subpar. Williams tried to do too much from 15 ft out and was not successful much driving the lane, I though Garrison was okay, Butler was average, Robinson let the physicalness of Bama take him out of the game, The O man was pretty good, but we stopped giving him the ball down the stretch.

was just studying the box score , KB had 10 .. decent but only got up 3 3s .. he needs 7-8 attempts . The biggest WOW was Carr only played 18 minutes . Guy is hurting for sure, or he would have had a bigger day and aa bigger impact on this game . And Jaxson and KB can score the ball..... but they rarely get any assist , if Lamont isnt dealing our guards rarely set any up

They were in the bonus with 14:22 left in the second half. Thats just too big of a disadvantage to be playing with against a top offense. Players then have to protect themselves from their own foul trouble, as well as being scared to foul and thus playing worse defense.

They then proceeded to score 44 points in the final 14 minutes of the game.

I believe they got to the double bonus a little under 10 mins left in the game.

Defensive struggles and some uncharacteristic bad offensive decisions at times…combined for a 102-97 loss against a top 5 team.

Yeah we were fighting an uphill battle with our foul trouble that early in the 2nd half. I think it is clear at this point that our defense is our weakness and it will be what sends us home in the post season. If teams aren’t hitting their shots they are attacking the rim and feasting at the foul line. Our guys have some deficiencies that you simply can’t overcome individually. Hopefully we can come up with ways to play sound fundamental TEAM defense while limiting fouling because teams will be taking advantage of matchups against us the rest of the way. We will go as far as our defense takes us, which is scary right now because our defense is very average.
