Farmer, Burton, Wood, and Selm will fight for spots but will they be pushed aside by our five transfer O-Linemen?

I think they will be. I believe we will see a definite improvement on the line. It may not be enough but we did a great job addressing the offensive line on the portal.
Even if any (or all) of those guys lose starting spots, hopefully they hang around to add depth because they will be needed.

That's a lot of bodies. After spring, we may see a few defections, especially upperclassmen who want to start their last year.
Shiyazh Pete has now signed with UK. From L to R, the starting OL will be Pete, Braun, Wibberley, Farmer, and Wollschlaeger. Backups will be Wood, Burton, Selm, Nave, and Unamba. The OL has been completely rebuilt. Our new OL is big and experienced. Games are won upfront.
There will be no important defections after the spring. Players who leave after spring practice will be guys who have been beaten out and want to avoid sitting. If they want to play in lower conferences, I wish them good luck. As promised, the needs have been addressed now.
Agree. Hope defections don't hurt our depth as we'll need it as the season wears on.
If Burton is starting we are in Deep trouble.
Crease and Wood looked really, really bad when on the field. They are years away from being a positive on the OL.
Yeah. If this unit is really brought back to something like recent standard, I think we will have more reason to fret over the D than the O next season.
I don't think he played after S Carolina. Wood moved to primary backup then starter. I hope this season they don't have to use 6 players to block the opponents 4. They did that all season and sometimes used 7 to block 4.
Wallace Unamba, 6-5 335, started at ROT for New Mexico and their rushing offense was fourth nationally. He had a 63.1 grade and allowed 0 sacks. The coaches are really excited to have him and as he said, 'they have a plan for me.' Josh Braun is a highly regarded OG at 6-6 340. It will interesting to see how those two do in spring practice competing with Burton and Farmer.
How many of the new guys on the OL have multiple years of eligibility? I would hate to have to retool all over again after one year. Hopefully a few of them can be here a couple of years.
Good question. Four listed as SR's and Wibberley listed as a JR. Just don't know if any of the SR's have a medical year left. Wibberley the one they say will have the biggest jump in the talent he will face. Will probably have to hit the OL portal pretty hard again next year.
