If Vandy was smart, they'd hire Drew Maddux. Alum. Great high school coach. They need to think outside the box and go with one of their own.
I think Stackhouse would have been a good hire for DePaul.
I liked the guy, Vanderbilt is a hard place to win consistently but he had some challenges that were self inflicted
I think he could land somewhere and turn a program around but he will have to get much better at player evaluation as well as player retention. His challenge is connecting to players and developing them.

Most stunning is that they would employ a person that had possibly questionable academic credentials.
I don’t like Stack but he is a good coach. I think Vandy made a mistake. They should be focusing on how to compete for players in the current climate instead of trying to find the magic bullet in a coach.
Terrible fit from day one. Never made a lick of sense. Vandy should embrace the dorky image similar to Duke, hire a string of accountant looking coaches until they find Brad Steven’s who wants to built it and stay. Guys like Stack no. Knew it wouldn’t work day one.
I said that when they hired him. As I listened to the video above I was thinking that this guy doesn't fit Vandy, which just confirmed what many of us are saying.
No way a guy with his massive ego would ever accept an assistant job in a million years.
The ACC has Wake Forest and the Big Ten has Northwestern, historically not good performers in sports.
