No kidding. Very little being reported on other sites, also. I guess no news is good news (especially re: injuries), right? Hard to evaluate where the team is in the summer, though. A lot of new players, systems install, intrasquad scrimmaging (is the offense really good or the defense really bad and vice versa), etc. Maybe the staff has decided to derail the hype train for now and actually do the work and get the team working for the same goals on every play. Nice change of pace if so.

They're on spring break right now. They'll resume spring practice after this weekend.
Never understood why they always start the week before Spring break, have two practices then go on break. Why not just wait till after the break to start?

Also, I can see them being more close to the vest in terms of what they say about player progress or putting out videos, similar to the reason schools are cancelling Spring games.

Why not? He revived a program that had been dead virtually it's entire existence.
He sure did and I have been a CMS supporter from day 1. But, he didn't tear it down to start with. I'm just not sure anyone can rebuild after they have let the program fall all the way (or very near) the bottom of the toughest conference in the nation once it falls under their direction.

The re-build by CMS didn't happen over night. It took 4-5 years to get competitive in the conference. And, this fall of the program didn't happen overnight. Regardless of what Mitch wants us fans to believe, last year was not a one-off year. The descent of this program has taken place over the previous 3 years. We do not have much further that we can fall in the SEC.

Our floor is currently the cellar, and it could be our ceiling also. I am just not sure CMS has the energy, patience, or the ability to re-build a contender in the SEC.

I would suspect it is to give the players a process so those who stay can continue that process on their own during the “break.” How many players leave for the week?
