Meh. No cares. Just want him taken before Ball.

Kings and Suns must have a huge man crush on Calipari.

I have said it before, if I were the Celtics, I would make that trade today.

If Thomas and Smart are the PGs and Bradley and Rozier are the 2Gs (or some combination), the Celtics need to get some power in their lineup.

Zeller, Johnson and Olynyk are out. They are bringing in 2 Euro stashed players. Use 5 to get Austin and 10 to get Ntilinka or the best big available.

Use crowder in some sort of trade (add pieces/picks if necessary) and get a defensive center.

If you are Philly or Phoenix, it is a no brainer.

Heck I would even think about it if I were the Lakers.

Boston does need a PG but will take the best player.
Lakers need everything, so they will take the second best player available.
Philly needs a PG, 2G and PF/SF depending on where they plan to play Simmons.
Phoenix has no need for a guard. Drafted young PFs last year, so they need a SF or center.
So Philly can trade and still get the player they most likely want whether at 3 or 5, while picking up another top 10 pick.

Im with Leon. Take best wing at 5 and best point guard at 10 or vice versa. Only the kings would be dumb enough to trade both picks to take 1 player. I also say that because I want Ball to go to Sacramento and suffer through his career and not Fox.

I just think at the end of the day the Lakers will take Ball he is a gifted passer and made a contender out of UCLA. I would prefer Fox as most on here and he outplayed Ball twice but Ball is more LA flashy.

It would be hilarious if they trade up to third pick only to have lakers take fox #2.

The Lakers are taking Ball. They are trying to drive the price up for the 2nd pick and have not had any takers yet. Part of the idea is to scare Philly and possibly Phoenix.
Phoenix/Philly wants Josh Jackson, the SF they are missing. By dangling #2 for any other team looking to trade, it may force Phoenix to swap picks AND add a player to the Lakers liking.

It will have to happen for me to believe Magic would pick Ball over Fox....gotta see it.

I'm high on Fox as everyone on this board is, but trading a 5th and a 10th to move up a spot or two is just a horrible decision, especially in this years draft where I honestly don't see a guaranteed multi-time all star. I think Fox is better than Ball, and I'm sure everyone reading this does too, but let's assume that the consensus is correct and Ball is actually the better prospect. The Kings want to trade up one or two spots for the 3rd best PG in the draft? When there is already a decent chance he falls to them anyway if they just sit tight?

In every draft, but this year especially, if I were a GM my goal would be to get the odds as high as possible that you get at least one all star or high level starter from the draft. You really can't be certain that Fox will turn into a top 10 PG in the league. If you take 2 guys in the lottery at picks 5 and 10, their odds are probably slightly worse but pretty similar as becoming elite players. The difference is it gives you two chances instead of one.

Man, I don't know about that trade. Move up two spots and lose the 10th pick to grab Fox? He could very well be gone before the 3rd pick, OR it's still possible he lands 5th. I don't think you can go wrong taking Fultz, Ball, or Jackson in the top3, and could very easily play out that way. I imagine Fox goes 4th in that scenario, but he could land 5th.

As good as he was, his teammates made him look better. Every guy on that team could shoot. Per 40 Ball averaged 2 more assist per game than Fox. Put Fox on that team I bet he might have reveres red that.

I could see the Sixers making that trade if the Lakers take Ball. They could give the Kings one of their four second rounders along with the #3. They seems to be pretty much even on Fox vs. Monk as their top choice. They can make the trade and get Monk at 5 and then take Dennis Smith at 10 if they still think they need a PG (which they do) or Justin Jackson, who I think would be a great fit at SF. Suddenly they become a great shooting team with the monster Embiid inside. They can get a couple of bangers in the second round.

I wouldn't make that trade. I think there's a bit of a drop outside the top five in picks. I wouldn't make that trade.

Also, Ball is trash. He's a good passer but you don't waste a second pick because a guy is a good passer. The Lakers are stupid.

I am waiting to see what Magic does. I am betting he takes Fox. Just a hunch from trying to trip him for a couple years...

It would actually be predictable. The Kings are seriously making a run at being the worst managed professional sports franchise in history. I'm becoming more and more certain that the Kings couldn't make the playoffs even if they had Anthony Davis, Lebron and Steph Curry. Some how they would even screw that up. I like seeing Fox go ahead of Ball but I'd rather him go lower and end up some place that might win. And trading 2 top 10 picks to move up 2 spots is just plain stupid.

With the team that fla state had this year with mayes Isaac, and bacon amongst other good to decent players how the hell they flamed out so quickly is beyond me. If I was a fla st fan I would of wanted him fired ten years ago. The guy gets good talent and has absolutely nothing to show for it.

I'd also state that personality-wise Fox is a Magic: Mini-Me. The thing is, Fox will never be a magic on the court but he sure does have skills and has that Magic personality. That is a "heckuv" a combination...

I don't see Magic passing on a PG prospect that has the best passing/vision to enter into the draft in years. It fits him perfectly

I am a long suffering Kings fan so of course I want Fox. They have been badly run for quite a while but that can change. The Warriors were the worst run team in the league for decades along with the Clippers and look were they both are.

I don't agree with most of you. There is a real drop off after the top 5. With the way their picks have gone if Fox is gone they likely end up with two worthless players at 5 and 10 so I'd trade that for Fox all day.

Ball will be a solid NBA point guard, nothing more....Certainly not a star of any kind.

I also think Fultz is really iffy. How great can a PG be when he can't manage to get his team into the tourney and gets his coach fired. Truly great players lift their teams up, he did nothing of the sort. I've seen this story before and it ends with the guy being an answer to a trivia question 10 years later.

I think Fox ends up the only All Star level PG in this group. Scoff if you like, come see me in a few years. I'm right far more often than not.
