What will be the spin going forward? Something to save season ticket sales for next year and hype it up for another couple of years. I honestly don't think Barnhart will let Stoops go because of the buyout. My guess is this: "we finally fixed the NIL problems stoops was talking about... give MS another year or two to straighten it out" .

That's my guess. Best move would be to cut ties and move forward though.

They surprisingly sold out this year. While I never saw it this bad, I really expected us to go 7-6 again. I can’t see them pulling a rabbit out their hat with season ticket sales next year if Stoops stays

He'll probably throw another OC under the bus to save his own hide. But we all know he's been the issue on the offensive side of the ball since he's been here.

If Stoops stays and he’s gets rid of Hamden he will be working on Offensive Coordinator #7 pushing 13 seasons! That’s just totally ridiculous. I just hope in all honesty that Stoops just moves on after this season!

The message needs to be a return to the attitude that got us where we were. Thats hard work and physicality. No more buying guys and babying them.

The successful message was conveyed so well in one of their Superbowl ads from years ago. Talked about hard work every day for every guy. Were so far away from this mindset now, its like another lifetime.

Hard work. Buy in. Be competitive in nil but dont let players hold you hostage.

To be fair.....there is no message to sell(barring hiring a name OC like Cliff Kinsbury....Art Briles, etc...but that aint' happening).

1. The defense will be a ton less....the losses are insourmatable...even though we have good young talent that I'm excited for.
2. The offense...nobody will believe it...that is the point

But to argue we'll ride with Boley, Wilcox, Gilmore, Rodriguez, Malachi Wood, Aba Selm, etc... on a build thru kids is probably what they'll sale...and after another 4-5 win season in 2025...there will be less support.

It's obvoius...we've had a good 12 year run iwth Stoops...but it's over. We've made tons of money not firing Stoops...so now it's time to buy him out and move full sell to Sumrall.

Well the spin has been “bowl season, extra practice…”

The juice CMS has had is that 6-7th win and hopefully building upon it.

Not sure what it will be now.

Maybe year two with Hamdan, BV, Wilcox, Patterson…returning at least one of either Brown or Key.

Something we really haven’t had is continuity. Let’s see what an OC can do in year two with that kind of talent, experience, etc.

Boley, even if BV returns, is the guy, improves and performs at a high level. I think the kid has to be part of the plans.

An Arch Manning type of situation. Get Boley some reps and hopefully he pops and gets everyone excited for the future. Not only fans but potential recruits.

The historical analogy has been Frank Beamer at VaTech. It was dreadful the first few years, but by years 10-12 he was in the mix for a NC. The argument was (and is?) if he can do it there, ANYBODY can do it at UK
