I have always liked Pearl. He’s always going to have success no matter where he is at. I don’t think there’s any coach that try’s harder. If had our team we would be much better and a top 10 team.

Honestly question, how could you like a coach who illegally recorded a conversation between himself and a recruit trying to coerce said recruit into admitting to taking cash and other improprieties because he knew the kid wasn't coming to his team? That's literally trying to ruin a kid's future which is such a scumbag thing to do. I know he's a damn good coach and will get a Natty most likely.

On another note he tried to get Aaron Craft to lie to the NCAA. He himself lied to the NCAA KNOWING they had a damn picture proving Craft was at the barbecue. I hate snitches. Once I got out of the military I became an oxy dealer for a year and two people wore wires on me. I'm not gonna incriminate myself but let's just say neither would take the stand at trial so they had to dismiss the case. I thankfully got out of that life when I went to rehab after that case. Been clean since 2013 but I am prescribed narcotics for PTSD and smoke weed before bed.

Sorry for going off the rails but does that stuff not bother you about him? I'm not trying to debate, just interested in your opinion.

I wasn’t aware of the your first point but I was on the bbq. Not knowing Pearl I can’t say if he has changed and learned from this past mistakes like you yourself have. I can only judge him as a coach. What I see is awesome because of his energy and game planning. He would easily have UK making FF trips. His teams improve and you see player development.

We have no hope with Cal. Everything about the program gets worse every year. I don’t judge a team by just their record but how they play and their coaching. As I retired coach I understand the game and people that do also can see how bad Cal is. I’m sure you saw the post showing UK had only made 1 basket in their last 27 possessions when they had a chance to win or tie the game. How it that even possible? No other way to spin it but that 100% on the coach. With Pearl we wouldn’t be going on 9 years without a FF.
