2nd quarter, we're around our own 15 and I think it's 2nd and 12 or 15. We/Hamdan calls a roll out to Brock's left. I'm sure I'm not remembering every play, but I honestly cannot remember him completing a pass when rolling to his left. Further, it appears there is only one receiver on that side of the field and he's 15+ yards away. Of course, Brock is pressured and throws way short for an incompletion.

Later in the quarter, we're just outside the 20. We call a pass and Brock is pressured so he flares out to his right. Continues to give ground and give ground before finally chucking it out of bounds. All 3 receivers on his side of the field were in the end zone. No one was short. None we're working back to the QB to help him.

I know it's just two plays but play design on those two is awful and rolling BV to the left has << 10% chance of success.

Someone explain how our OC doesn't understand our team or basic offensive football any better than that.

I’ll give you one more:

It was 2nd and long inside the 20 and Hamden calls a designed QB draw with 7 defenders in the box and Vandegriff got drilled.

Just NO rhyme or reason from a play calling standpoint or awareness pre-snap from Vandegriff!!!

I think Bush was another Boise St, run all kinds of motions, all the time you want vs. West coast defense...that failed miserably in SEC (Auburn HC Hairston prime example).

IN addition to poor play caller....he can't develop a QB for crap. Brock's feet are all over the place...never set, not getting his feet under his throw, etc....jsut all around dud of a hire.

It's just time to wipe the slate clean for Stoops and staff....great run but it's over.

OK, here's another question along the same lines: why are the plays called for Boley quick, short passes instead of the slow developing abominations called most of the time for Vandagriff?

I'm 100% convinced that BV could be pretty decent if Hamdan would call the GD plays that fit his skill set and take into account just how woeful our OL is at pass pro.

Boley looks comfortable with the one or two quick reads and get rid of the ball. Why BV isn't asked to run similar plays is just one more WTF moment under Hamdan.
