Some heavy rumors swirling around Sacramento...

Why any team would want Cousins is beyond me. I think he probably leads the league in ejections, has been a trouble maker with practically every team he has been on and no one seems to get it,

Why would an NBA team want him? Probably has something to do with the fact that Cousins pretty much dominates nearly every big he goes against.

I agree JP about his talent, but there is more involved than that. I think you would agree that if all the players acted like him there would be nothing but chaos. He can't get along with any of his coaches.

He's making millions and still can't follow the rules, that has to affect the team. Calipari did pretty good job with him although when Cal set him on bench its was for 1 minute or less most of the time.

I realize the NBA team owner wants his coach to be careful and not upset him so he gets pampered. He is not the only one, but we are talking about Cousins. I'm not a big fan of the NBA for that reason. jmho

24 and 10 is nice. However, it's not enough. Cousins should be 28 and 15 every night. Every. Night. He puts in just enough effort to get by. If he wants to truly be a HOF he needs to be more like Greg Monroe and less like the hothead he is. Again, most should be ecstatic with 24 and 10, DeMarcus isn't one of them. Very good player, but he should be able to do what Shaq did and better because of the lack of centers with his skill and physical abilities.

can you name a guy that has averaged 28 and 15? That is so unrealistic in an offense that pulls him away from the basket and isn't centered on him. People just don't get how important winning is. Blake Griffin and Chris Paul do as much or more on the court bs as Cousins but don't catch the heat cause they win and have Doc. From reading this thread a lot of people don't follow the NBA too closely but just read espn click bait headlines.

Shaq never did it, but he was only the most dominant post presence of his generation.

Kareem did it 5 times if you round up, but they were all back in the 70s.

i meant to add that. Kareem and Wilt withstanding. Moses Malone got real close in the early 80's once too

I hope all the UK players leave that team.

Not Rondo. He's leading the league in assists out there. They let him dominate the ball. I hope he stays in that system for 5 to 7 more years and ends up in the all-time top ten of assists leaders.

The Celtics should have 3 first rounders (2 in the lottery) and 5 second rounders and a total of 13 selections over the next 2 years. You can put a lot together with just draft picks. Throw in Olynk (sp) or Zeller or Sullinger and you can put together a pretty attractive package.

The Kings have been trying to draft their way out of hell since I was a child. Walt Williams; Lionel Simmons; Tyreke Evans; Ben McLemore; Billy Owens; Corlis Williamson; Kenny Smith; Pervis Ellison; Bobby Hurley; Brian Grant; Spencer Hawes; Thomas Robinson; etc.

The problem with them is that they're never bad enough to truly earn a top 3 pick. I think they've only had two top 3 picks in their entire history.

They're a franchise that needs to tank. Getting these mid-lottery picks has been the worst thing for them because, with the exception of Cousins, none of those picks have led to All-Star level players.

i wrote a post on the kings drafting history on here a few months ago. If they literally had just drafted the consensus best guy available each time they drafted and figured it out later they be incredible. A great GM always acquires talent and sorts it out later. You never want to draft a guy at 4 or 5 that is the 15th best talent because of need. Dumbest thing you could do literally. The Kings have done that a lot. Tyreke you can give a pass on but I would of drafted Steph or Demar Derozan there that's not hindsight either, I just don't like shoot first PG's who can't shoot. 2010-Cousins, 2011-they take Biyombo over a plethora of better guys Knight, Kemba, Kawhi, Klay. That's pretty egregious, can't be worse than that right? Well 2012- Thomas Robinson over Dame Lillard and Andre Drummond is right there competing with it. I mean I could just keep going 2013, 2014, 2015, absolutely pathetic. I'm a die hard UK fan and I almost passed out when they drafted Willie ahead of Mudiay, Stanley Johnson, Justice Winslow, etc... I mean the Kings owner and front office are the worst of the worst when it comes to making basketball decisions

Thank you. Shaq was damn close but thats it. Chris Paul is such a duche but thanks to all state he is viewed quite differently, Griffin too has had a handful of commercials maknig him the good guy.

DMC would still be a shi$$y situation if he would have been drafted by any team higher in that draft..wiz at one, philly 2,Nets,Twolves all garbage...

He is 25 the most dominant offensive big in the lead, has one of the highest pers in the league this year and has a top PER in the history of the NBA, hella efficient.

A 51.7 TS% doesn't scream efficiency.

Cousins is actually playing below what his talent suggests. He needs a good, strong coach who can help him with decision making with and without the ball.

I'm not defending his behavior, but for the record, here's the exact moment that Cousins got whistled for his fifth foul. He's nowhere near Curry.

By the way, Sacramento was up in the third, and the line on the game was something like -12 Golden State. Just sayin'.

In other NBA news, John wall is 5th in all star voting in the east behind Kylie Irving, who has played a handful of games this year while healing hid shattered knee.

Vote John wall. His December has been at all NBA level

If by a different coach you mean a coach who will look the other way, let Cousins do whatever he wants, wins be damned....then, yes, he needs a different coach

If you're a head case by nature, then a change of scenery\ trade simply means you will be a head case with a different address & uniform....see Rondo, Rajon

Rondo was a starter on a championship team. So was Rasheed Wallace. So was Ron Artest.

Put a head case in the right situation and it can be good for everyone.

True...it is possible.

Michael Malone and Cousins got along fairly well (arguably better than any coach he's had in the NBA) and Malone did not look the other way.

The main difference IMO is that Malone treated Cousins like an actual person, rather than a child who there's no need to be honest and upfront with, which is how many others who have failed have tried to approach him. (hint that doesn't work).

Can't believe you left off Rodman.
