So when we need a spark, we don't even give any of those guys a chance to provide it. Matthews not even seeing the floor baffles me, it's not like he's a matchup issue athletically and he plays defense.

I'm guessing there's just a strategic coaching move behind this, like letting this group play through the problems and see if they can take it upon themselves to bring it back like they are, but why don't you just provide 8 scholarships if you're going to do that.

Would have loved to see Humphries and Willis play both halves, and Wynyrd get in the game. Guess not today. Disappointing.

I don't think any of them would've made a difference and I've always been of the school of thought that you should try because you never know. Maybe Cal felt the same today

We could have used Isaac at the very least. Willis, who knows? And this tells me we won't see Wynyrd against Louisville unless Cal wants the ultimate ace up the sleeve.

Willis has earned the minutes he would've been given today!!!!!! He would've given the rebounding and hustle that we didn't get from Skal in yet another game! Not to mention he could've helped the 26% or so shooting in the 1st half. He finally appears to have turned the corner that we've waited on or at least been playing at a higher level than ever before.

It really is unacceptable that he didn't play today when Skal doesn't show up & Poythress only showed up in spurts. I almost wish he'd go elsewhere so he can actually play!
