Considering the way things have gone I am okay with this, I think. Have to win out though. Can't take a crap against Losserville either or its the Wildcat Bowl , I mean Music City Bowl.

Outback Bowl trending for Kentucky in latest college football bowl projections

To play in the Outback Bowl, Kentucky needs to beat New Mexico State and Louisville in its final two regular season games, but the Wildcats will likely need help from others too. Big Blue Nation needs to root for Alabama and Ole Miss to keep winning so both teams reach the New Year's Six. That scenario would leave Texas A&M for the Citrus Bowl and remove one Kentucky's top rivals for the Outback Bowl.....

A majority of bowl projections like Kentucky's chances to play in the Outback Bowl heading into this week's games, but those projections all include Alabama as a playoff team. If the Crimson Tide fall out of the playoff to the Sugar Bowl and Ole Miss is not ranked high enough for an at-large spot in the Peach or Fiesta bowl, Kentucky will drop a rung in the SEC's pecking order.

Would rather it still be at 11:00 AM like the good ol’ days but I can wait another hour. Is the Citrus Bowl held in da ‘hood or something? Have seen posters say they’ll never go back.

Make sure you wear thick sole shoes walking to the stadium from all the broken bottles, nails and discarded wood and trash. The empty lots are full of garbage and chain link fencing with stray dogs running free, the stadium is a dump as well 🍺

I went to the Citrus Bowl, thought it was great, had no problems except the stadium was old and the event was not ready for a sold out crowd, ran out of water and beer early in the 2nd half, other than that, was a great experience.

I am 100% down for the Outback, vs. Wisconsin or Mich State, would be a blast.

Citrus Bowl is in a depressed area of Orlando for sure, and the stadium could use a significant facelift and added amenities.....all that said, if we had the opportunity to go back, sign me up.

Fine with Outback, had a blast there in 98 and already booked hotel just in case.

Yes. I am fine with Outback. Tampa/St. Pete would be a great area to go.

GO CATS

I just got a feeling that MSU beats Ole Miss on Thanksgiving Night and a 9-3 UK ends up in the Liberty Bowl.

Of course. I would love Tampa. I know everyone is obsessed with 'this bowl out ranks that bowl', but I don't really care. If you are in the playoffs that's one thing. Outside that all bowls are exhibitions to me. Let's just go to the best location. Tampa around New Years is as good as it gets.

I just want them to win the bowl game, do not really care where or what bowl game. After giving away a New Year's 6 bowl I just want the team to finish on a 4 game win streak and win 10 games.

Let's just put it this way. You're probably 5 miles from the nearest Starbucks. That says something because they build Starbucks everywhere.

I am OK with it as long as it includes a win over UL. This had a chance to be an extremely special season but that was dampened a bit by the loss to UT. Beat UL, get 9 wins, go and beat a good brand team in the outback bowl and another special 10 win season for UK.

Currently eligible teams are:
Kentucky
Georgia
Alabama
Ole Miss
Texas A&M
MSU
Arkansas
Auburn

Flroida, Tennesee, South Carolina and Missouri could all get eligible too.

Of those it's possible 2 or 3 teams end up in NY6 bowls.

Bowl game list UK sent out is like this:

Texas Bowl
Sugar Bowl NY6 - no chance
Fiesta Bowl NY6 - no chance
Citrus Bowl
Outback Bowl
TaxSlayer Gator Bowl
Peach Bowl NY6 - no chance
Music City Bowl
Duke's Mayo Bowl
Liberty Bowl
Birmingham Bowl
Gasparilla Bowl

3 NY6 games are out...no chance for UK this year

An 9-3, 5-3 SEC team looks like Outback or Gator to me.

You mean 9-3, 5-4 sec team

More than cool. This is the one I want unless someway somehow we got the Sugar.

I received an email from the UK ticket office today that tickets can be ordered. I think I will get on the list now.
I'm not even sure I can go, but if not The Big Easy, give me Ybor City and the beaches.
