I was going to say the same thing, he's starting to look more and more like Anthony Davis. When I watched him play the first couple of games I didn't think he had quite the reach Davis had.........................I was wrong.

According to Draft Express they both have a 9 foot standing reach. Davis has the longer wingspan by about 3 inches.

Have to admit I was worried about Skal the first few games, but not now. He is picking up and tracking guards so much better now when they enter the lane. That one block where he slid down the key to stay with the guy driving and then blocked his shot was incredible.

Skal keeps improving and has a lot of potential . It also saddens me that I will probably never see a player like AD at UK again , his shot blocking was so much fun to watch .

I think Davis's dunk was more difficult coz the ball was touched by UL player and changed the direction a bit.

thanks for sharing that Davis vid. Skal's dunk today was great, but AD's was better. Nice to see those baseline moves with the soft right hook. Skal had one of those just as sweet over boogie's baby brother today. Dammit, Anthony Davis was an insanely GREAT basketball player for us. I'm watching that video again and callin' it a nite.

I thought and said the same watching the game - until I just watched the video - AD is special! Skal has special skills as well and will be very good - just not quite the athlete that is AD.

Skal is much more polished offensively at this point in his Fr. Yr than was the Uniblocker.
Obviously Davis was a shot blocking phenom.
However, it is almost scary to imagine the post moves that Skal will possess come March.

I dont think Skal will ever be Anthony Davis, but he will be a great player

You guys don't remember Anthony's first few games?
He looked nothing he did 5 or 10 games in.
Skal might not reach Anthony's level but as the season progresses he is going to get exponentially better and be the best big in the country by feb.
