Skal

No, I don't exaggerate much. If you think he's fine and he doesn't need to improve then have fun with that. The rest of us know there us a lot he is not doing because we don't just watch the ball. If you pan your eyes off the ball and watch what Skal is doing you will understand.
I also don't believe the stats you posted. Do you have a link? Those stats don't seem right to me. Especially after tonight.
Look, this kid can and should dominate teams like Illinois state. If you don't get that then I can't help you.
He definitely has a ways to go, I'm not arguing that. He has played decently until tonight though.

He is playing soft right now. I have no idea what he is thinking but he has to step his game up. We gotta have him.

I think (or hope) he will have a big game against UCLA, maybe 18 pts 8 rebs 3 blocks.

18 points and 2 blocks probable, sadly you'd be hard pressed to see those 8 boards till he matures more. Which he will.

Watching game now....this team is guard doninant....and this game just wasnt the type ....and briscoe, love him, but he is a nyc type playground guard...attacking the hoop...but bottom line skal has to be more aggressive.

Last year against Buffalo, Towns went for 3 points, 5 boards on 1-6 shooting and fouled out in 10 minutes. He went on to have games of 4 and 4, 6 and 3 (twice), 4 and 4, 4 and 1, & 2 and 2. He then proceeded to average a double-double in February and get drafted #1. I was as disappointed as anyone with Skal last night but he's going to have a couple of these. He's also going to have a couple 18-24 point games where he looks like a top 5 pick and I think that's where he'll end up. Honestly I don't think he's as good as Towns but by season's end, he'll be a world better than he showed last night.

Good point...there will be some games like these....the good thing is that he is at uk where he will be challenged daily for months and coached by someone who has experience with players like cousins davis and towns....so he should have everything he needs to succeed.

I am not as worried about Skal as others on here. Sure he is talented but he doesn't have to be great for us to be a force. LEE Poy Matthews Willis and Hump can get us there

We all know Skal is just a freshman and is adjusting to the college game. However, scoring only 2 points on free throws against this level of competition is ridiculous. He should've dominated regardless what type of offense or defense ISU was running. If ISU was too rough for him, how is he going to fare against the likes of Mich. St. or similar teams in March? Not to mention some of the physical SEC teams.
