FB Recruiting Skal Labissiere hits rock bottom against Arizona State

After never seeing Skal until the exhibition games, I commented at that time, that he looked foul prone. Seems to be the case. He has skills but he doesn't really get the game of basketball yet. It's not clear that he will ever be a competitor and that is a huge red flag. No amount of time/coaching is going to change that very much. It has to come from within. It is not a case of Cal working his so-called magic. IMO he's not likely going to be anything more than marginally better this year. Make him a pick and pop guy and he'd do better but don't see that happening. Seems like a square peg in a round hole situation at the moment. After the UL game we all should have a better reading of the situation.

It's scary cause we tend to say that about Alex alot. And we see how inconsistent he is.

So yeah Skal has all the ability in the world.........if he can't keep his head in the game the full 40, I don't know if he'll ever reach his potential

Skal has a looooong way to go. He's so weak and green that it blows my mind. He's also timid. I hope the day comes where he can catch up to all of his hype but I think it will take much longer than one year. I still support him and think our team can become really good but Skal's not gonna be 'the man' this year. The one thing where he's not lacking is his shot. He has great touch. Can really score when he can get his shot off.
