Skal and Briscoe. Are they gone after the season?

After the LSU fiasco..........give Humphries, Tai & Mulder the minutes that have been going to Skal, Lee & Poy

Maybe if they don't play for a few games, they will at least give an effort

The issue with Lee and Poythress is they are guys who can give you a lift for 10-12 minutes a game. Grab the athletic rebound here and there. Block a shot or two, but they are not threats in the post. Lee has no post game and Poythress is not much better. They are role players who are playing starters minutes and they don't have starter ability. I know that may sound harsh but it's true imo. Poythress 4 years and Lee 3 years. Poythress is the same as the first day he got here. Lee is as well. Alex still can't handle the ball, Lee still doesn't have a low post game or make free throws.
I don't understand how guys come to a school like UK and don't improve in their weakest areas. At least some.

And if your not getting anything from Poy or Lee on offense........and Skal been MIA...........your frontcourt is a complete blackhole on offense.

And these guys aren't much better on D. Poy and Skal cannot seem to defend without fouling.

That's true that Briscoe brings us "something", but it's to the point to where his negatives are outweighing the positives. He's a liability. Yes, he takes it to the basket, but he's getting fouled most of the time and that's pretty much a turnover. He's probably the worst free throw shooting guard I've ever seen. It's embarrassing. If he shoots a jumper, that's pretty much a turnover as well. AS far as Skal, I can't really disagree with anything you said. I don't get it. He's having trouble simply catching the ball. Ugh

Good post, unfortunately. If I was Briscoe, id be in the gym every hour outside of class working on my shot, whether that's from the foul line or anywhere else. That seems to be the one area where he is lacking and it's definitely an important area.

No clue honestly, but I think it's because they're not working on it enough. There are a lot of things that you can't teach with these types of athletes like skill, quickness and just overall ability. However, shooting isn't one of them.

We are not even at the half way point of the season and I have seen all I need to see from Skal and Briscoe. I have thrown in the towel on Alex. He is a damn Senior and plays with the emotion of a dead man, I personally don't think he gives a crap about BB. He has his degree and is apparently a very bright young man so he will be successful in life. Briscoe may be one the worst shooters I have ever seen. I am 59 years old and I will bet my life I could go right now and hit 7 out of 10 free throws. Skal is about 3-4 years away from being a solidplayer. This team has some major, major problems. This is all on Cal's hands. He shoved last years class out the door so he could help the kids help their families or whatever his reason is and then was left scrambling to put a team together. I honestly believe there are times, that Cal thinks more about how many kids he can get drafted than wins and losses. I was very concerned heading into the season about our front court and my concerns are real. We have ZERO inside scoring. Lee can dunk the ball that is his offense. This team is so easy to defend. I am expecting another 10 plus loss season and another trip to the NIT. If this happens, it will not sit well with this life long UK fan and should not be acceptable to any UK fan.

I have not given up the season but Cal better do some miracle coaching or this season will end up in the crapper.
