Sisk says…

Wesley Yates is the proverbial grown ass man and would shut up a lot of the naysayers on here. Plays much like Oweh but with a better handle. Had 30 (20 in the first half) at Purdue.

Williams mostly played at SF last year. Kaleb Banks 6-7 / 215 and Greg Glenn 6-7 / 230 manned the 4/5 spots. Rowan Brumbaugh was the PG and 6-3 Asher Woods played the 2G. They played small ball, really 3 guards and 2 PF's. Probably why they sucked last year. Couldn't defend size or rebound.

And skinny, which is why I said we need another big.

But if we only add Folgueiras, Williams probably has to play some at the 4, being 6’8.

Robinson was 6’7, 190-ish and played some 4 for Pope at BYU, and he was listed as a guard.

Williams playing the 4 some isn’t ideal, but it isn’t out of the question.
I haven't seen enough of Williams to know, but analysts/commentators are saying he's very athletic with a long wingspan. Sounds like that would work as a small-ball PF, especially as a 2nd unit guy. And watching video of Williams he honestly doesn't look that skinny to me.

On the other hand, while Williams is certainly plenty athletic enough, I didn't really see why this would be emphasized as one of his biggest strengths. I'm also not sure whether he's 6'7" of 6'8" (not that makes much of a difference to me with regard to him). What it does appear that he can do at a high level is shoot the heck out of spot up 3s from anywhere (not just in the corner).

Sounds like a good Almonor replacement.

If we get Yates I agree.
Even if we don’t actually. I looked over some things and I think fans, including myself, have gotten caught in the current. I’ll share some things either this evening or tomorrow. Not everyone has to agree, of course, but I think fair minded people may find we are in good shape.

I don’t know why people are so concerned about having to many guards. You take all the good players you can get. Coaches job to sort it out from there. Oweh, Yates, Johnson, Ament, Lowe, add Smith if you can. Good teams have good players. Still plenty of room to add a couple bigs.

We don't need anymore guards with jalands commitment today we need bigs 2 or 3 of them . We are only taking 4 or 5 additions we have 2 now 2 or 3 more
We do need 1 more wing (SG or SF), even if Oweh not go to NBA.

That's not good
Wash seems to get who they want. They must have big money
When he was at Washington his cousin was an assistant coach there . His cousin wasn’t retained by the new coach so Yates transferred. Rumor is, Washington is trying to hire his cousin back .

Awful lot of Guards being “courted”… Please don’t tell me there’s a chance Oweh is planning to move on, either pros or gulp, otherwise!
Owen’s not going anywhere. He will get his NBA feedback and return.
