I dont know why thats funny to you, when you're talking about something completely different lol. I mentioned a top30 transfer, in that I want to see Pope actually get a coveted guy fairly early in the process (which I don't believe he has done yet).

You can't really believe our recruiting class is as good as Duke's ? I hope not. By the way, we do not have the same number of top 30 players signed. Duke has 4, #3, #14, #15, #24. UK has 3, #18, # 27, # 30.
Mr. Nice Guy is why we were CONSTANTLY getting punched in the mouth at the beginning of games. How can players possibly go from snoozefest supervisor-speak, to attacking the opposition from the word GO? He reminds me of Tubby Smith in terms of recruiting. Until his recruiting shows otherwise, I'm convinced Sweet Sixteens (with an occasional Elite Eight) will be our ceiling [while Pope is here].

Yeah, I worry about that a little bit. There's starting to be some patterns.. the way we start games, the way we folded so badly for Tennessee, the way our recruiting is starting off with a whimper.
I'm hoping it's more of just a first-year thing. I have to remember he's only been here for like 11 months.
If next year's talent is lacking because of NIL, and we sort of peak at the Sweet16 again.. then he has to go. And quite honestly, his seat needs to be warm anyways and the fans need to go all in on questioning his value and purpose.

So if next year doesn't blow the doors off, this forum, the media, etc.. really needs to start calling for his head. And I'm not sure he's all that well received lately anyways. The Cal and Brooks debacle sort of seemed like it could also be Mitch who found himself looking for a job. I think he might be what stands int he way of Kentucky getting back to where it was.

Money talks, and BS walks… As classy as a move it was to go see the guy at his home, these players don’t care that he was the Captain of a National Championship team, they want to know if UK is going to pay them more than the other teams.

Wherever their money comes from, it isnt public so far as i know. Another advantage the big east has in basketball nil is they don't share with football.
Uk has one donor that has to fund everything plus the coaches salaries.
We need a new board for the bitchers and complainers to go to so they can wallow in their misery together.
I'll ask you this though. Do you know exactly what happened on the above three? For Dent and Gwath they stayed home. For Demary something happened in their meeting that either the kid, his family, OR Pope did not like. We got no visit so something happened there. What if the family wanted to guarantee starting or 30 mins a game? I don't know, and you don't know jack shit either. I trust that Pope is honest and in the longterm we're better off. Unlike last year only the pf spot is devoid of competition that these guys are factoring. These recruits see oweh, Chandler, Garrison, Moreno, jasper, lewis and are trying to see where their pecking order is, and if they don't think they can beat them out they may look elsewhere too.
I am willing to let the process play out, but early indications are not looking great for this portal season. Kam Williams is a good fit and definitely will help us. But if we can't lock in some more talent, we'll be taking a big step back next season. We need to replace a lot of experience and production.
I didn't say our class was as good just that we had the same number of top 30 recruits. I put 247 but that was the Rivals rankings that we both had 4 Top 30 so my mistake on that.
flopping, like it or not, is part of the game. no need to ask the refs, just watch what they call. we can sit around on our pride and not take advantage, or we can play the game.
