When the train whistle blows, I immediately look to see the yds to go.. It is getting way to common for opposing teams to get a first down. Credit to opposing coaches, 3rd and 11, guess what, the receiver runs a 13 yd route, its completed and first down. We blitzed for a few plays, was in the Qb's face and forced a punt, then what? No more blitzing. Its frustrating... They may have been only 3 of 8 on 3rd down, but those 3 led to back breaking points. People may want White gone, but I do not think it would matter since Stoops is a defensive minded coach and whoever the coordinator is, it would ultimately be a Stoops scheme. Rant Over..

Defense gave up 252 yards and was on the field most of the game. Hardly the problem.
31 pts to an awful USC offense.....that side of ball has plenty of concern. 7 points was Int for TD...but this unit allowed the other 24 points until 4th qtr when USC just sat on the ball. Multiple blown coverages once again....No reason USC scores more than 13-14 pts for a good SEC defense...which we are not.
The offense looks like big fat "F"...but the defense is a "C" unit..which with all the returning players is not good enough.
Defense gave up 4 plays all game. 3 were busts and 1 was on the staff. Tons of sacks, forced fumbles, pressures, etc

We have one of the best defenses in the country on first and second down, then proceed to look like a mid-major on third. Has baffled me for years.
You are crazy. The secondary is a joke. It is unacceptable to have one blown coverage in a game let alone 3. Georgia is going to rip the D apart.
Defense overall, yeah they played OK other than blown coverages leading to TD's. The Third and long thing is an issue though, it's been one for years. in the third quarter, we gave up 32 yards on a 3rd and 14. no excuse for that. We also gave up 13 yards on a 3rd and 11. again, no excuse for that. Early in the game we had a 3rd and 18 and gave up 10 yards. We are routinely putting teams behind the sticks then going soft.
I believe USC was 3/12 on third downs. You can't ask for better than that. I get it's popular to punch Brad White right now but the defense as a whole is not the problem. Buffano should've been canned last year as the secondary is the weak link with some blown coverages here and there. If we can fix that (which I fully admit Buffano seems unable to do), the defense is pretty damn solid.
