SIAP: Look at how our assistant coaches react immediately after the Clash Peters foul

Just came across this alternate angle of the Clash Peters foul and was impressed with how within a second of the foul our assistant coaches stepped in to hold back our bench players from intervening/potentially getting technicals/ejected. I imagine this is relatively normal and assistant coaches plan for these scenarios, but after seeing all the fights in football on Saturday I thought it was funny.

I thought it was interesting that Pope was holding back an opposing team player and no one seemed to bat an eye. Like, I could see that pissing some people off. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but it's almost like he's so respected by people that it didn't even cross their minds to be mad at him about it.

I noticed during the live broadcast how Fox went to Kriisa and held him . He's probably the first one who would go after someone, he's got that edge to him. I work with a couple of Eastern Europeans and both have a short fuse. It's the way they are wired over there because of all of the wars that they've lived through. They don't really trust anyone.

Plus, he’s a grown ass man at 6’11”.

You know I knew Mark was on the floor
But I hd missed him flying out there like that
Love how the assistants acted so quickly
Those boys were NOT happy

I had an Eastern European that was my Tow Truck driver a few months back. He was hilarious.

Pope had been complaining to the officials in the first half about Peters cheap shots n not being basketball plays. His coach should be embarrassed for letting that go on. No place in the game for that BS! Hell he threw an elbow into Carr one time n Carr looked at the official like how the hell you letting him do that.
Someone will knock his ass off now that they’ve seen the videos of our game!

Problem is almost nobody saw it, because they didn’t even mention or show it on any of the highlights from the game. None of the sports channels did. The acted like it didn’t happen and we just beat them by 30 points.

He should NEVER do that . Pretty sure the commentators said something about that being a no no .

I still don't understand how that guy was ejected from the game and was then allowed to still play.

He was clearly ejected from the game at the 28 second mark of this clip.
They explained it during the game. He was not given a double technical, or a double flagrant, he was given 1 of each, which is very odd to me.

Hunter Dickindon got a double T in the KU/Duke game and was ejected and his interaction wasn't as bad IMO.

He also slapped Oweh’s thigh twice after a foul early in the first half. Oweh turned around and looked at him like he was crazy.

Took Carr down at half time. Several hard screens where he was leaning. Pretty sure he tried to trip someone also. It didn’t work but he made it look like an accident.

He is not a basketball player. Just a POS that ended up at Georgia State.

I am more confused by why the foul wasn't a flagrant 2. It was blatantly obvious he intended to do that. If that wasn't a flagrant 2 then I am not sure there is one outside of literally punching someone in the face.

Peters took a cheap shot at Carr in the first half, knocked him halfway across the court, and no foul was called. But at Rupp they showed the replay on the big screen several times throughout the night. By the time he stepped to Amari, the refs must have seen it several times.

I had a high school classmate who came over here as an exchange student from Kerr’s home country. That dude was wild, hilarious and ready to fight at the drop of a hat.

My favorite thing was his name was hard to pronounce so he told all the teachers to call him Vincent Vega or Vince for short. Lol.

Yeah that take down of Carr is what got Pope so pissed. And should've.

His ejection was incorrect by the rules book. He had a flagrant 1 foul (not ejectionable), he had a technical foul. The 2 together is not ejectionable. They would have had to called 2 techs on him, which they did not. So he was allowed back on the bench.

He neutralized the aggressor. He knows his boys and how they will react. He doesn't know this kid swinging at them.

He didn't go on to the court completely until that kid made a swinging motion. Then he B-lined straight for him. I thought of it more as him protecting his boys from a ill tempered player on the other team. Their coach is just strolling down the court in no hurry to stop it.

I find it interesting that two of the three seniors on the bench were very slow to get out of their seat. I guess they've been around a long time and seen these things many times before. The three freshmen and Garrison were the first to get up and start toward the court. It's the wrong thing to do, and they'll learn. But God love them for wanting to!

He was playing against Duke, they have to be protected. Can't let projected #1 pick 17 year old Cooper Flagg be in any danger whatsoever of getting hurt by a grown man basketball player.
