It just seems like there is always overreaction anytime basketball players get into any kind of scuffle .Throwing someone to the ground because they maybe said something to you or are basically owning you on skill (and Herro was) is the very definition of being a punk/thug.

Meanwhile hockey players are celebrated for fighting .
Don’t hear the thug word come out for baseball pitchers throwing at another players head or fights in baseball in general .
Yeah, Houston fans acting like they won something because Thompson threw Herro to the floor. He got tossed and the got a big fat L.He went out with 27, 9 & 6
I’m not doing anything but stating how all those sports are viewed.Fights are part of hockey. It's expected. Been part of that sport since it's inception.
And I've seen that word used for baseball fights. I see what you're trying to do- not biting.

And fighting being apart of hockey is one silly excuse . Sure fighting happens in Hockey but I’m sure when reaching the sport of hockey fighting isn’t taught .
But agree to disagree
I thought I might still have something at 45.. I in fact did not.. Dude got behind me from in front of me not once but twice and got me in a choke hold.. And could not stop it.. Later found out he was an amateur mma fighter that fought on weekends..Damn man. Sorry to hear it. I remember how quick I was when I was young but that shit gone now.
Yea, I noticed that too. Hmmm.Just saw the clip on ESPN page. You could tell Herro didn't want to get back into that scrum. You can see him looking down and something in his brain warning him he ain't about throwing hands, lol.
Also, what was Thonpson yelling at Herro at the end? 🍿

Yep. Never start ish with a dude with coliflower ear. It won't end well. Also, in my 46 years, take little guys for granted at your own peril. I'm 6'2", and not a fighter. But a few years the Marine Corps taught me not only to take care of my self, but being able to spot the dudes to avoid. Size doesn't bother me at all, but I know the attitude to watch out for.You picked the wrong one for sure!
And thats fine if thats how you do, but dont walk around like a peacock and talk tough when youre too much of a () to stop a guy from pimp slapping in front of millions. People keep saying tyler did the smart thing but theres a line you dont let a man cross on you no matter how much $ it costs or game suspensions.Yeah Tyler wanted none of that. Stood way back waiting for someone to step in front so he could posture
The big difference is Mother Nature can't go to prison or be sued for monetary damages from injuring someone with a lighting bolt but a real person can for causing bodily harm by physical contact.Yeah. I’ve seen plenty of people get knocked out and hit their heads. It can be tough. That’s a mile away from what went down here and saying he could have been paralyzed is as likely as him walking out in the parking lot and getting hit by lightning.
I see your point, but without knowing what was said by Herro, it is hard to pass judgement without knowing everything that occurred. The NBA is filled with grown ass men who are not to be played with. If you are going to trash talk, you better be able to back it up. For Herro to have gotten tossed, the refs must have heard something from him that they didn't like and must have believed he started the confrontation.Disagree from what he did there. Truly could have been an injury that paralyzed Herro.
Running your mouth to someone because you think you are protected by the game is just dumb. I can assure you under no circumstances would Herro have said whatever he said to Thompson if they were on the street without what he thought was protection. As the old adage goes, don't let your mouth write a check that your ass can't cash.Go try that on the street to someone and explain to the officer how that isn't assault/battery and why you shouldn't go to jail. I agree it's not a "life threatening" thing, but nonetheless it is and you would be heading to the pokey.

Do y'all ever get tired of referring to players as "thugs"?
Herro, Thompson, Udoka, Green and Rozier and asst coach Sullivan for the Rockets were all ejected.

I tell you what, I know Herro can jaw and be a little annoying, but had Thompson done that anywhere else but a basketball court his thug ass would've been in jail. I mean, he really threw Herro.
