Contrasting styles. I guess our resident experts that said Alabama was a sure thing and Washington didn’t deserve a playoff bid were wrong.

Boredom game
Must not be a CFB fan if you think this game will be boring. GA's massacre of TCU last year was dull, dull, dull. This game should be close throughout barring one team imploding.

Washington has played a lot of close games this year so pressure hasn't seemed to phase them. MI came through late yesterday. WA will score some points, for sure. Can they keep MI in the low or mid 20s? If so, they can definitely win.

What should be a close, fairly high scoring game for the national championship is going to be boring? OK. Pray tell, why do you think this will be a boring game - just because an SEC team isn't in it? Did you find GA v TCU last year exciting (I turned it off at halftime as it was only a matter of how badly Georgia was going to stomp the Frogs at that point)? You think one team is going to wax the other? The final score will be 13-9? If you think it's going to be boring, I'd suggest not watching it. I, for one, believe it's going to be a really good game between two really good teams and could very well be as exciting at both semifinal games.

Michigans passing game will eat Washingtons weak ass db's alive
Will be a factor, Washington's pass D is ranked like 119. But Pennix is good and they have maybe the best WR in college football. Did appear Washington's top RB got dinged late....can he go?

Forgot to answer the question.

If they even have to throw the ball. Washington stopping the run will be the key. Michigan isn't like some of these other schools worrying about touches to wr. I almost passed out hearing the announcers say how many scripted plays (40) sarkisian starts with to ensure enough touches for guys. Michigan just does what works even if that's not attempting a pass for an entire half.

Anything can happen, but this is a great matchup for Michigan imo. Washington will have to score nearly every possession and still hope for Michigan to shoot themselves in the foot. Penix is amazing enough, so it can happen

I'd guess you're an SEC fan only, not a CFB fan. I like watching a lot of good games regardless of whether the SEC is involved or not: OU vs WA part 1 and 2 were both great games, OU vs TX, OSU vs MI, Army vs Navy, USC vs CU, etc. If you only care about the SEC, then it's not your cup of tea. I want to see two good teams perform well and play a really close game. Don't care if the SEC is included or not. Hence, a CFB fan not just an SEC football fan.

I’m no fan

It will be an interesting game to watch to see if Penix's quick release and NFL level receivers can beat Mich. pass rush.

I know his receivers had tons of hype, but I definitely didn't see anything special. They got very little/no separation vs Texas dbs. It was just amazing deep throw accuracy that basically placed the ball right in their hands despite zero separation. Penix was able to do that even under pressure.

Will be interesting to see how Michigan plays it. I don't know you can bring pressure too often because he's so quick at identifying and so accurate. The difference will be they can pressure with 4 which will make it hard. Texas could too but he was able to evade and still make incredible throws. We'll see if he can do it again
