Every redneck in the south claims his great grandaddy was full blooded cherokee.
I'm from Pike county and if you're from around here and your family has been here for generations you almost certainly have some native blood in your ancestry. My Grandpa looked 100% Native American but the rest of the family not so much.

Ran into him while shopping at Kroger today, figured it had to be him, enormous native American looking kid wearing UK sweat pants. Introduced myself and welcomed him to the team and to Lexington, which he said he had never been to before signing here. He said it was a great opportunity for him, and I wished him luck. Seemed like a really nice young man.
Like stated, most of us from Eastern KY have some indian blood in us somewhere down the line. Many claim to have more than they actually do but I can't think of another UK player. Pete may be the first. Fatu Turituri was the first Samoan but Dequin Evans was the best.
