Shep Is A Bad Man!

Every single year, it’s the same thing. People gush over a player and/or the team after some meaningless early-season game. Never fails.

Shep Jr. might be an All American this year, or he might be a non-contributor. Regardless, it can’t be determined because he blocked a shot, chased down the ball and then dunked it against a bunch of Canadian dudes.

I mean, c’mon man!
Hes done a helluva lot more than a single dunk

I love Reed and his game but let's not get too carried away. Comparing him to an experienced senior after two exhibition games? I think that's putting too much pressure on the kid. As I said, I love his game and do feel he is much better than his ranking but let's wait to see how he does against real competition with some well seasoned college players. Hooe I'm very wrong in believing hell have some ups and downs and that he turns out to be all the OP says during his freshman season. If he does, he may just decide to jump to NBA after one season too.

This is Rafters man. Due to being from KY and Jeff Shepperds son 0% chance of not overreacting after an exhibition game.

I agree with you though. And as you said if he's the best player on the team he's one and done.

I’ve been singing Shep’s praises on here for 2/3 years now. After a couple times of watching him play I said that he would be a damn good player here. This was before he was even offered a scholarship by UK. I was ridiculed for awhile, told that I and others, just liked him because he was a white Kentucky kid and because he was Jeff’s son. Lulz

The kid has such a high basketball IQ and his intangibles are off the charts. He just know how to play the game. Does all the things that helps his team win.

It might be too early to get excited, but considering what Kentucky has experienced lately, I will take my moments of celebration whenever I can get it. Lol
Oh I agree, I've enjoyed how he's played. Looks very Comfortable on the floor.

Sometimes those expectations can wear kids down.

Love Reed. Can't wait until the NIL merchandise comes out.

Next year, the 2025 Final Four is in San Antonio ... the same building his Dad was named M.O.P. of the Final Four in 1998. Would be pretty cool if Kentucky could get there next year.

It has been a long time since Kentucky has had a guard who can do everything. Well fans, we have one now. Shep played like a senior against Canada. Right now, he is easily the best all-around player on the team. His game is so easy. He is like the Venus Flytrap of basketball. He has the uncanny ability to lure his opponent into thinking it is safe to dribble or shoot just before he steals the ball or blocks their shots. THE KID IS IMPRESSIVE!!!
Chip off the old block.

This kid's pedigree suggests that he is mentally equipped to thrive in the environment of Kentucky basketball. I am certain that his father has adequately prepared him for the madness.

Cal hasn’t promised anything to any player. Never has.

And you can’t find even one former player that says he was promised anything.

It’s just a flat out lie to claim otherwise.
How would you so over top and confidently know this?
