I can’t stop laughing. Good Gawd that’s hilarious!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The guy at the park that’s jumping up grabbing the rim with ease that both captains want to pick up for their team then...can’t score one damn 🪣 bucket.

Trying to recall the name of the guy that was reported to be able to pick 4 quarters off the top of the backboard. Wicked hops and hang time. This has been a few decades ago.

Earl “Goat” Manigault.

And there’s a movie about his legend starring Don Cheadle. Pretty good too.

Herman the Helicopter. Played in the Rucker League.

Could have been Earl Manigault. I get them mixed up. There was a story about Herman’s jumping ability. In one game the man he was guarding got into the lane and faked a shot. Herman jumped so high to block it the guy got called for 3 seconds waiting for him to come down. There were some great stories from those old leagues.

I think we’re seeing the new Cal with these snipers on the team. When you can get who you want, why not take good shooters?

Naw, I finally found it. The guys name was David Thompson. He was a freak of a jumper. That said after a bit of research, I think it was an urban legend, though no doubt he could skywalk with the best of them.

I’m guessing that if it was ever done, Wilt the Stilt would have been the only one. Wilt was an unimaginable athlete for someone of his stature. At the 5 spot, he really has had no equal to this day.

I once scored 47 on the Portland Trailblazers, while only using my left hand. And not getting my head anywhere near the rim. Maybe some of those Rupp Rafters Experts know their shit?

No, I just did some checking. It was Herman. David Thompson played there but as far as I can see he was not part of the folklore. He played at NC State and had a 44” vertical. Earl Manigault used to take paper cups off the top of the backboard. He would pay kids to climb the pole and put them up there. Then he would jump up and get them. So they say. Fun to read about.

and Cal hasn't won a damn thing here...um wait
Were you too embarrassed to give the actual specifics of what he has won with his overwhelming riches? Cal has done less with so much than any other coach in college basketball. Only a fool would deny that Cal should have achieved way more than he did when he dominated OND recruiting. If that wasn't bad enough, now that Coach K and others started targeting ONDs, they are kicking his butt at his own game. How long will it take before the same thing happen with transfers?

Lets forget many of his "riches" left after their freshmen year before they reached their potential. Is Tubby or Billy G still available?

Oh, so you are bragging because Cal turned UK into an NBA farm team? How many players did he push out the door who are doing nothing now?

The answer? 0. He only pushed the Walls, Fox's, Bams, Towns, Davis etc out the door. The players you are upset about just left anyway. He never pushed EJ or Ashton or Archie or anyone like that out the door. I have no problem with the players leaving that he pushed out because they deserved it and have succeeded since. Hell he obviously hasn't even pushed Jackson out the door.

Edit: Maybe Ashton because of issues had behind the scenes but he probably just told him to leave, not necessarily where to

If you have noticed over the years, Cal doesn't care much about shooting; he is into stars. If he is fast, jumps high, and has 5 stars, Cal wants him.
Must be why UK had its best 3 point shooting team in history in Cal's 2nd year. Must be why he didn't recruit any guys like a Doron Lamb, Malik Monk, Jamal Murray, or Devin Booker. Or maybe, you don't have a clue of what you're talking about.
