“All the noise that goes on within your fanbase or another fanbase where he came from”

Seth Greenberg is a HUGE Cal SUCKUP!!! His opinion of the BBN means NOTHING!!! He is IRRELEVANT!!!!

Cal's had over 5 years to "figure it out" and has yet to even come close to doing it!!

He is stubborn and won't adapt to today's game. His arrogance has kept him from becoming the best coach left in college basketball. He has lost the ability to INSPIRE his players to be great. They are all SCARED TOO DEATH, so they can't perform when the pressure gets too high in games.

He has encouraged his players to be SELFISH, so why would they care about winning and losing???? De'Aron Fox ADMITTED in an interview years ago that Cal doesn't care about winning games, just getting kids into the NBA.

SOOOOOOOOO glad he is no longer our problem.

Said this before.. the split between Cal and UK is something we've almost never seen in sports.

It's not like Cal was old, or retiring, or wasn't as good. He wasn't slowing down, or wanting to try coaching at a different level. He didnt get a promotion from another program.. He just seemingly gave up trying to win, and he almost did it out of spite. So the fans really have every right to kind of hate this guy, for at least the near future. They could have tolerated an aging Cal, one who tries but just doesn't have it anymore, or one who at least was taking the losses hard. This was totally different. It was a full on divorce.

He is just mad that cal is 0-5 instead of ky!
They would be hammering us if the scenario was reversed!! And enjoying ever minute of it. So I say stick it to them!

Eh the doing it “out of spite” thing is a major stretch. He’s just way too competitive for that. If he was doing it “out of spite” (rather than it being simply because he wasn’t a great coach anymore) then he’d be doing everything he can at Arkansas to be better than us.

The game just passed him by. Nothing more than that.

Maybe. But theres sure a lot of evidence to suggest he just did not care to win. The sharpe situation, playing the wrong players, post game conferences where he's essentially like "it's just a game!". And he became so embroiled with the fanbase that he really didn't seem to mind losing.

Some of his "mistakes" almost felt like he was trying to teach the fans a lesson.

Man the Sharpe situation was a clown show from all angles. You really think Cal intentionally did that “out of spite”?

To me it felt like he was TOO anxious during tournament games and was almost OVER worried about losing, which passes on to the players. We looked unbelievably tight in the St. Peter’s and Oakland games and had dudes play their worst games of the year.

I think Cal just isn’t a good coach anymore. The conspiracy that someone as competitive as him simply wanted to lose intentionally doesn’t make sense to me. If that was the case, it wouldn’t make sense for him to look bad at Arkansas too. Is he intentionally losing out of spite there also?

Seth had a .567 coaching record and was king of making the NIT. Of course he did make the NCAAT 3 times. Yay Seth that’s great. Yeah I think I’ll dismiss anything he says about us.
Yeah his offenses scored about as much as Virginia Tech football also. A guy like that must really hate guys like Mark Pope aside from having his hormones elevate for Cal.

BBN/UK has zero to do with Arkansas, outside of one game this year. Their failures are on Cal. UK fans had gripes for half a decade that guys like Greenberg wrote off as delusional. Now his reality is that UK continued on and Cal continues to tarnish is legacy.

Like I said in another thread, Greenberg can suck it.

Matt went off on him in hour 2 today, I listened to the podcast on my way home from work. Talked of how Seth got on him 2 yrs ago for pointing out what we’ve discussed for years about cal during a game day event. And then Matt went on to tell him he nor jay Williams are going to tell us how to be a uk fan. I’m glad Goodman is letting Seth have it over cal for one but it’s obvious seth is not liking our success without his little buddy running the show 😂.
What a joke Seth is, best thing for him to do is to not ever set foot in Rupp again…….may get a little ugly for him and his little smart mouth.

Surprised Cal still has Greenberg on this pay roll.

The biased is clear as day. If you want BBN to turn against you keep doing what your doing. There's very few fans left and people who don't think Cal isn't cooked.

I gotta be honest I was surprised to hear MJ airing out his text messages with Greenberg. You don’t see media members do that. Wild.

Seth Greenburg......what a joke... if the, or any noise from BBN takes Cal off his game, then Seth should pay for a sports Psychologist for Cal to unload his ghosts. What a bad take from Greenburg. Cal's result this year, are Cals results this year and he should own them.

I know a player from the 2015 team who said Cal was so anxious that game that he caused the team to play tight. This isn't coming from my observation sitting on the couch watching, that was from a guy on the floor and in the huddles saying Cal's nervousness caused the team to play tight and afraid to lose.

The Dontai Allen situation was definitely out of spite. He knew the fans wanted Boston to sit and Allen to play. He showed us who the boss was that year and he looked like a fool too. That's when the Basketball Benny shit started.

Then, he looked like an even bigger fool, when he got ejected at Mississippi State and DA came in and torched the place, won the game while Cal sat in the locker room and sucked his thumb.

Then, just last year, he refused to play the most potent lineup in college basketball. He literally saw that lineup shred good teams, but we can't have that, nope, we're going to do it Cal's way.

Yeah, that guy did essentially throw winning in the trash can out of spite. He definitely did.

As far as hating him for the " near future" I will hate that bastard FOREVER. I don't give a rip what he did his first few years here. That doesn't mitigate what he did to this program and fans the last 5 years. I feel the same about Ratino.

Well, if Seth wants to hitch his Wagon to Cal, he can be my guest. Everyone is watching and they see Cal through a very clear lens right now and the longer Seth Calbergh makes excuses, the more receipts will he out there for us to cash in later.
Seth should aak John Nabors from Locked on Arkansas about the receipts he put out there when they "stole our coach". Yeah, how's that working out John?

Not only does Cal need time and patience, Hubert needs it as does Woodson. Give these guys time to figure it out.

In the meantime, since the Colonel is dead, we can enjoy tasty Tyson Chicken.

Noticed ESPN went out of their way to run a segment at halftime last night (on a night we were idle) bashing our play with Greenburg leading the charge.

Seth seems to be doing this intentionally. If you recall, Digger Phelps played the same role on ESPN when it came to Kentucky. UK fans were constantly goin’ back and forth with Digger
I went to a Notre Dame football game a few years ago and Digger was having a book signing. I didn’t like the guy one bit because of his antagonistic relationship with UK fans. The people I was with got in line for an autograph and picture, and when they said they were from Kentucky his response floored me:

“The Big Blue Nation?! I love the Big Blue Nation. They prayed for me when I was sick.”

Seth can still be Cal's friend, but still be honest about the Cal/UK/Arkansas situation. He not being honest in his job, and to me, that makes him bad at his job. He can be a straight shooter, and a friend, but he's choosing not to be. It's actually a level of pettiness at this point. I can see why he and Cal are friends.

Some talking heads are probably playing into a character when they’re being insufferable, Digger Phelps mentioned above being an example (at least in my opinion). Those types of acts can take some criticism and not fly off the handle because the beef is with the character, not the person behind it.

Other guys though, not an act, it’s just who they are. I consider Greenberg in this second bunch. When he’s condescending, it seems like that’s just who he is and when he gets criticized as a result, it burns him up because it’s the core of his actual persona.

Seth is just another ESPN employee just like Jay Williams and other ACC players/coaches that have always wanted to criticize Kentucky when the opportunity presents itself. Their bias always comes out in some form.
