They are protected. It's just the way it is. Hell, put them in our type of bracket every year and K goes from 5 titles to 2 or 3 for sure. I don't expect Duke fans to get it, but everyone else seems to.

It's like the Patriots cheating.. everyone else seems to get what's going on, while fans of those two teams are just oblivious. You'd know if you ever watched a day of the tournament, that Duke gets a kind of treatment that no one else gets.

If they're still in the top 25 next Monday, I'll take that as an overwhelming sign that K has incriminating photos individually for the majority of the AP voters tucked away in a safety deposit box, and will be sending them a friendly reminder email of the dirt he has on them over the weekend.

Not really. When we played them they had Jefferson. That's what the committee will look at when looking at that game. However they will gloss over the fact that Ulis wasn't 100% in the UCLA game.

6 losses before conference play mid-point, with the hardest part of the schedule still to come..

They are in serious trouble, and if this were any other team, I'd bet money that a 6-loss team with 6 ranked games left (I'm including Pitt) and a conference tournament that as of now, they have no business winning more than a game or two... is not making the tournament.

If UK loses at KU this weekend we will drop out of the top 25 IMO. Duke will come in at 25 and we will be number 26. Duke will drop 1 spot for losing on the road to the number 14 team while we will drop 6 spots for losing to the number 4 team on the road. Seems to be the pattern.

ESPN will try to spin it somehow when they drop out of the top 25 by saying Duke has been in the top 40 more than any school ever or they will harp on their number one class. Wtahc, when they win their next game, ESPN will go on and on how Coach K has righted the ship and they look like a dark horse to win it all.
