Seems like Javon Baker really wanted to be on the team

I heard that he was not a good fit for our locker room. The risk wasn't worth the reward. Stoops has worked hard to build a good culture and you have to make sure you're bringing in guys who fit your culture.

No room for him in the WR room. We've got 4 stars at WR that can't get on the field because of Dane Key and Barion Brown.

Those two freshmen are SPECIAL. Unlike anything we have seen at WR.

Javon Baker could not beat either of those guys out for playing time, and Robinson is all SEC.

If that was the case he wouldn’t have said he wished he were here lol. Rowland said it wasn’t on UK. Prolly had to do with credits or academics.

He was transferring here from Alabama, but was turned away for some mysterious reason.

Not going to dig through old threads, but IIRC there was some off the field issues that caused the coaching staff to part ways with him. (Grades, behavior, etc???). Talent was not the issue.

In a somewhat related subject, I saw where the receiver from Syracuse that we got from the transfer portal but who’s credits wouldn’t transfer, has given up football.
